Our Smurfit WestRock- Star Pizza Box plant in Johnstown, OH, is seeking qualified candidates to fill Wrapper Operator in the production department. Pay: $18 an hour Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3 pm
Overtime: As needed due to customer demands.

The Opportunity:
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, good communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experience in a manufacturing, and a strong desire to succeed and advance in the company.
How you will Impact Smurfit WestRock:
* Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned, either verbally and/or written.
* Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
* Lead run changes, plate and ink set ups, and machine operation to produce multiple print runs per shift.
* Visually inspect printing plates, inks, and raw material to remove defective before processing
* Visually inspect and/or measure for accurate product selection based on current run requirements.
* Visually inspect finished product; adjust machine as needed to improve and maintain quality.
* Maintain daily production log. Assist and direct Wrapper with Pallet Tags, etc.
* Meet minimum piece rates of 8000-12,000 per day or averaging 18-26 (50ct) cases per hour.
* Understanding of Quality Inspection Criteria
* Execute end of day and weekly machine cleaning while keeping entire work area neat and organized.
* Learn machine basic operation and make machine adjustments as needed.
* Report further machine problems to service maintenance mechanics, and production lead as needed.
* Use Safe Work Practice. Use of required PPE. Use machine guarding, Lockout/tagout program.
* Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with other team members in a noisy work environment.
* Think and act quickly in fast-paced production environment.
* Use Basic mechanical ability to operate tools, set up, and adjust machine.
* Use Basic math skills to count production quantities, measure raw materials, and finished product.
What you need to succeed
* Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
* Good communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff.
* Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
* Must be flexible on shift as overtime is required
* Must pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical
* HS diploma or GED required.

The starting rate is $18.00 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. MISSION / SUMMARY:
The ManufacturingAssociate Manager is responsible for direct supervision of the paper machine production, quality, immediate maintenance coordination and safety. This supervision includes hourly employees on shift, and indirect supervision over more employees on off shifts. JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.
* Provides leadership and supervision to production work teams and serves as the link to plant management for the team. Facilitates team meetings, intervenes as necessary to keep the team's goals and results consistent with company direction, and works with the team members to develop their full potential. The production supervisor, in conjunction with the team, is responsible for product quality, equipment condition, team member safety, department housekeeping, and LEAN/5S.
* Supervises and facilitates the day-to-day shift activities of team. Utilizes knowledge and experience, providing training to team members. Responsible for their individual performance. Oversees scheduling, material handling issues and maintenance, as well as resolving production problems. Helps team achieve goals and has responsibility for personnel issues, including required discipline.

* Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meet or exceeds established standards, and is directly accountable for expenditures exceeding budgeted levels.
* Strives to be technically proficient on the machinery in the department. Provides assistance to the team in problem resolution and assures that testing and product development is carried out in a professional manner.
* Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of AIB/5's and other company standards.

**SUMMARY:**

SUMMARY:
Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the Fiber receiving and operational areas production, quality, immediate maintenance coordination and safety. This supervision includes hourly employees on shift, and indirect supervision over more employees on off shifts. Role Summary
The Power & Recovery Manaufacturing Associate Manager front-line leader is crucial to the shift operation and productivity of the Power & Recovery Department. The successful candidate will understand and align business operations and Power responsibilities as he/she executes their role to exceed expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.
This role is responsible for leadership of approximately 20+ unionized hourly shift employees in the daily production of the Power & Recovery operation.
