Boeing Mission Systems Phantom Works organization has an exciting opportunity for a senior level Core Processing Lead engineer. This position will be part of a proprietary program located in Berkeley, MO.

This position will lead solutions and integration of Core Processing solutions in computer science, advance networking operations with focus on Precision Time Protocols (PTP), tagging, network traffic, encryption, storage, mission computer, and overall architect. The selected engineer will work in a high-performing cross functional team primarily focus on Core Processing.
This position will directly report to the Core Avionics team within Mission Systems on a Phantom Works Proprietary program.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide technical oversight to hardware leads
Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design
Researches specific technology advances for potential application
Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications
Architect Network and Processing solution
Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements
Using CAMEO/MBSE Analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle
Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Support project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status
Interface with multiple disciplines, internal and external customers, suppliers, and multiple levels of the organization
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
(Level 5) 14+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 12+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master's or 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
Electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification.
Experience with avionics hardware development, design, production, and project management.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years in development and qualification, physical and functional integration and design and resolving supplier technical issues.
5+ years of electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification.
5+ years of experience with Avionics Hardware development, design, production and project management
