As a member of the Quality Group this individual is responsible for the inspection and testing of products manufactured or purchased by Wilcox for the end user. Roles & Responsibilities Enforce the Quality Management Systems. Perform functional, visual, physical, and environmental characteristics of finished products. Performs functional and visual inspection and test of incoming electronics. Must be able to read test plans and follow directions. Handle nonconforming products. Collection and retention of Quality Records. Communicate with internal parties on matters relating to the product conformance. Qualifications & Requirements 1 - 3 Years' Experience in a high paced Quality Role preferred, manufacturing experience a plus HS Diploma Ability to read and understand technical specifications. Working knowledge of measuring instruments. Computer skills with MS Word, Excel and in data collection IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 knowledge preferred. Inspects welded product and dimensions. Document inspections on required QC forms and drawings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Monitors welding on a spot check basis. Monitors the welding procedures on a spot check basis (weekly) and records the results. Responsible for completing the Inspection and Test Plan. Performs dimensional inspection and visual inspection (excluding finished welds). Performs non-destructive testing (if qualified). The technician takes notes of all non-executed processes of inspection, the Forman must inform the technician as to advancement of the work. Inspects product for quality assurance standards using current methodology and techniques. Communicates routinely throughout the day with production leads, supervisors, and QA Manager.     Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 3:00-11:00 PM The Quality Technician is a hands-on role based on the production floor, focused on inspecting composite and aircraft parts to ensure they meet safety, regulatory, and customer standards. This position supports in-process and final inspections, utilizes measurement tools, and maintains precise documentation. It plays a vital part in upholding quality and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is not a desk-based engineering position-it involves active floor presence, working closely with operators and reporting to a Quality Supervisor. The role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with inspection processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsible for health and safety of themselves and coworkers. * Conduct in-process and final visual inspections of composite aerospace parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. * Identify and document nonconformances using precision measurement tools and visual inspection criteria. * Dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.. * Document inspection results by written reports & electronic data entry into database or SAP * Some level of analytical ability to assess and implemented quality engineering decisions * Support and engage in our AEC Quality System. * Continuously improve job knowledge through training and individual work * Position Competencies: * Good mechanical aptitude and use of basic hand and power tools * Basic math skills * Attention to detail * Ability to understand and follow training materials, technical drawings, and work instructions. * Proper use of safety and personal protective equipment. * Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, SAP) * Ability to communicate in English via written and spoken words * Positive outlook and commitment to the Quality function as a service to all customers and an absolute commitment to Aircraft Safety * Relevant Work Experience: Worked in a manufacturing environment. * Knowledge of QS 9000 & Aerospace AS9100 Quality Systems. Lean Manufacturing /Six Sigma methodology a plus. * High School diploma, GED or equivalent required * Physical demands of the job include stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing. * All candidates for roles that directly manufacture, or disposition product shall receive eye exams (for color-blindness) and a rudimentary English reading examination prior to receiving a job offer, and annually while employed. * Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions. Position Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Physical) * High School or GED Equivalent Required * 3 years equivalent experience in regulated field preferred * Experience with MS-Word, Excel, Access and Power Point for word processing and documentation support * Must be able to complete multiple prioritized tasks with minimal direct supervision while maintaining focus on preventative activities. * SAP/MRP system experience considered a plus. * Minimum 6 months in current role.
