We work mainly on repairing hydraulic cylinders for Construction heavy equipment but are not limited to it solely. Must be a motivated individual to help grow our team and business further, with an emphasis on quality, speed, and proficiency. Responsibilities: · Operate, maintain, and clean machines · Duplicate or reproduce damaged parts · Cut-off or remove parts of damaged cylinders to be reused · Modify or improve existing parts · Maintain a clean and safe workstation Experience/Qualifications/Skills: · Must have previous experience running full manual lathe and mill · Good problem solving skills · Must be Reliable, Prompt, and have sense of urgency. · Good mechanical Skills, ability to use hand and power tools · Must be able to move large & heavy components. · Previous Hydraulic repair experience a plus · Welding experience preferred- TIG, MIG, and FCAW Must have a Valid Drivers License M-F 8-5:30 Business hours with frequent opportunities for overtime Occasional Saturdays when workload requires Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, Holiday, and 401K all available. Position Requirements: * High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision. * 3-5 years of Manual Mill and Lathe machinist experience is required. * Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, tool design, fabrication methods * Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools. * Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints. * Strong mathematical aptitude. * Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, rework process instructions, original equipment manufacturer manuals, and MSDS labels. * Working knowledge of production management computer systems and other related internal control systems. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday. * Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods. * Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program; or equivalent. * Attainment of trade certification. * Ability to work day shift, evening shift, or weekend shift as required. * Must be authorized to work in the US. JOB PURPOSE The Manual Machinist uses a variety of tools to machine component parts for aircraft engines. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Job Functions Operate machining tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Modify parts and materials to improve overall production. Test completed equipment to detect and remove defects. Perform routine maintenance on machinery. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments.
