The Position Wilson Elser is looking for a Paralegal Clerk to join our team in our White Plains office in a hybrid setting. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate medical record requests to support case development and ensure timely retrieval of critical documents. Track and manage document requests using spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process. Engage with medical providers via phone to facilitate the acquisition of necessary records and resolve any issues. Maintain and organize case files, ensuring information is easily accessible and up-to-date. Review and verify medical records for completeness and accuracy, contributing to the integrity of case materials. Update electronic case files with new documents, maintaining an organized and systematic digital record-keeping system. Organize and maintain records, prepare and review exhibits, summarize medical records and deposition transcripts, and assist with comprehensive trial preparation to support litigation efforts effectively. Prepare well-crafted discovery demands and responses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedural requirements. Qualifications 2+ years civil litigation experience in a law firm setting preferred; however, candidates with strong relevant skills are encouraged to apply. An associate degree and/or paralegal certificate is a plus, but not required - your experience and skills matter most. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word), and document management systems. Familiarity with tools like Smartsheet and iManage is a bonus. The Blue Sky Paralegal will work under the direct supervision of an experienced attorney. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and file Blue Sky notices and exemption filings in connection with securities offerings (e.g., Form D, U-2, U-1, etc.). Monitor state filing deadlines, renewal periods and amendments to ensure timely compliance. Work with internal teams and regulatory agencies to coordinate and confirm state registrations or exemptions. Track and maintain accurate Blue Sky filing records, calendars and correspondence. Assist with offering-related due diligence, audit support and investor reporting. Research state securities laws, rule changes and regulatory requirements as needed. Draft and maintain procedural checklists and process improvements related to Blue Sky compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Required Bachelor's degree required Skills and Experience Required 2-3 years of paralegal experience in a corporate practice area Ability to manage deadlines across multiple jurisdictions, time zones and transactions Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing Exceptional attention to detail Ability to proofread for contextual, grammatical and spelling errors Ability to become subject-matter expert on specialized systems (e.g., SEC filing software) Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel Ability to organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities Ability to work independently or in a team with limited supervision Ability to maintain positive attitude and high standard of excellence across all assignments Excellent organizational and communication skills Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Flexibility to work late and on holidays/weekends and travel when necessary Preferred Prior hands-on experience working with Blue Sky laws and related securities filings preferred Physical Demands (required to perform essential job functions) Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
