Our Mechanics are the backbone of our fleet. As such they perform preventive maintenance and repairs to our fleet of trucks and equipment to ensure our vehicles are ready to service our customers! Duties and Responsibilities: * Diagnose and Repair vehicle systems, including air brakes, electrical, hydraulic, engine and emission related equipment.
* Diagnose and repair specialty equipment
* Respond to road calls or breakdowns when necessary
* Order Parts and Supplies as necessary
* Utilize Dossier Fleet Management Software to record repairs and maintenance
* Assist the regional fleet manager or supervisor to facilitate resolution of fleet related issues.
* Perform Preventive Maintenance on various types of vehicles and equipment
* Perform inspections and document conditions on all equipment
* Assist in coordinating repairs with outside vendors
* Ensure that all Federal, State, and Local EPA, DOT, ANSI, OSHA and Safety laws and regulations concerning fleet operations are adhered to
* Other duties as required

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $38.00 - $45.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Requirements
* At least 5+ years' working in a fleet or transportation industry with direct experience in medium/heavy truck repair
* Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
* Must hold a Class A or B CDL with ability and willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement if requested
* Prior experience working in a fleet or transportation industry is required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office -Excel, Outlook is preferred.
* Experience using fleet management software, databases, and web programs preferred.
* Strong time-management/organizational skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Maintain a high level of integrity and make ethical decisions
* Welding experience is preferred
* Ability to successfully pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams
* Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
* Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation

We are currently looking for a Field Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic to join our Heavy Civil team at our Dinwiddie, VA Field Service Center. The Mechanic position is subject to travel throughout VA to our various job sites to support our operations teams.

Basic Requirements:
Valid Driver's license
Min. CDL B required
Minimum 3+ years preferred experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in construction industry
Test repaired equipment to insure operating efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Inspecting and lubricating heavy construction equipment in shop and at construction job sites.
Repair trouble shooting of heavy trucks and construction equipment (i.e., loaders, dozers, cranes, backhoes, etc.), including removal of defective parts and installing new or rebuilt parts.
Test repaired equipment to insure operating efficiency.
Trouble shoot, diagnose and repair electrical systems.
Repair hydraulic systems
Assist in dismantling and/or putting together cranes.
Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from ground level to waist level.
Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift.
Required to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands, and requires acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing.
Must be able to climb ladders and/or steps on equipment to access areas to be repaired.
Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl.
Must be able to work in dirty, greasy, noisy, cold, hot and humid working conditions.

The Mechanic diagnoses and repairs diesel tractors, trailers and other wheeled vehicles by performing the following duties.
Job Responsibilities
Examines and diagnoses vehicle problems, and repairs according to generally accepted methods
Discusses extensive or difficult in-depth repairs with Terminal Manager, and/or Supervisor
Demonstrate and enforces CEMEX safety policies and regulations to all mechanics (i.e. lockout tagout policies, hazard assessment)
Make sure shop and all repairs are in compliance with OSHA regulations
Performs routine scheduled maintenance outlined on PM checklist sheets
Plans all routine work procedures
Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical components for removal, repair or inspection
Removes components for repair of replacement such as, but not limited to: alternators, starters, water pumps, radiators, condensers, compressors, clutches, transmissions, differentials, wheel assemblies, brakes, drivelines, gearboxes, pump, rollers, etc.
Disassembles components, inspects parts for wear, and determines cause of failure
Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic systems, and components
Inspects and replaces parts such as clutches, wheel seals, brake linings, drums, bearings, and all other components as described above
Overhauls and rebuilds serviceable components
Some regional traveling required to repair company equipment
Diagnoses and repairs electrical systems and circuitry in accordance with acceptable industry standards
Performs occasional cutting and welding utilizing both gas and electric welding equipment
Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wiper blades
Enters work orders on system for equipment inventory purposes

Full-time Description
Our Mechanics are the backbone of our fleet. As such they perform preventive maintenance and repairs to our fleet of trucks and equipment to ensure our vehicles are ready to service our customers!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and Repair vehicle systems, including air brakes, electrical, hydraulic, engine and emission related equipment.
Diagnose and repair specialty equipment
Respond to road calls or breakdowns when necessary
Order Parts and Supplies as necessary
Utilize Dossier Fleet Management Software to record repairs and maintenance
Assist the regional fleet manager or supervisor to facilitate resolution of fleet related issues.
Perform Preventive Maintenance on various types of vehicles and equipment
Perform inspections and document conditions on all equipment
Assist in coordinating repairs with outside vendors
Ensure that all Federal, State, and Local EPA, DOT, ANSI, OSHA and Safety laws and regulations concerning fleet operations are adhered to
Other duties as required
Work Environment

Ability to perform basic math functions.
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $38.00 - $45.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Requirements
At least 5+ years' working in a fleet or transportation industry with direct experience in medium/heavy truck repair
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Must hold a Class A or B CDL with ability and willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement if requested
Prior experience working in a fleet or transportation industry is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office -Excel, Outlook is preferred.
Experience using fleet management software, databases, and web programs preferred.
Strong time-management/organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Maintain a high level of integrity and make ethical decisions
Welding experience is preferred
Ability to successfully pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation

Position Responsibilities
Install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and other equipment according to manufacture specifications and company requirements
Use knowledge of press systems to install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering
Install flex, duct board, and/or sheet metal duct systems in light commercial and multifamily buildings
Inspect HVAC systems to identify hazards or defects and coordinate repairs as needed to ensure code compliance
Advise Superintendents and Foremen of any potential hazards to maintain jobsite safety and security
Here's What We're Looking For
Minimum of three years of experience installing HVAC systems
OSHA 30 Certification preferred
High school diploma or GED/equivalent; EPA certification is a plus
Knowledge of the IMC and SMACNA guidelines, local codes, and construction safety requirements

Road Mechanic position is responsible for maintenance and repairs of on and offroad equipment and out on crew jobsites daily with occasional travel to the shop or office.
Responsibilities
Inspect and repair company equipment such as pickups, line trucks, trailers, excavators, compressors, boring rigs, off road tracked vehicles, etc. in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
Preform Road tests and operational checks of vehicles and equipment to ensure quality repairs and services
Place orders for required parts materials and supplies as needed
Prepare and maintain records and reports as required
Maintain tools, supplies, workstations in a clean, safe, and presentable manner
Provide support for fellow mechanics on a as needed basis
Complete DOT inspections
Ability to complete Tune-ups, Brake jobs (hydraulic and Air) Basic Wiring
Ability to Safely use Cutting Torch and Basic Welding Skills
Ability to work alone and unsupervised
Perform other duties as requested or assigned by Lead, Maintenance Coordinator, and Fleet Manager

Work Environment:

Team-members are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Powerline construction work is performed outside and is subject to diverse weather conditions.

Job Summary:
