What You'll Do
Greet members with a smile and help them with account transactions
Handle deposits, withdrawals, payments, and cash advances
Process checks, money orders, and wire transfers
Maintain and balance your cash drawer
Help members with questions in person or over the phone
Promote credit union products and services that can benefit our members
Support daily operations including safety deposit boxes, ACH setups, and night drop
Work closely with teammates and other departments to serve our members
Keep accurate records and follow procedures to ensure security and compliance
Who You Are
At least 16 years old with a valid driver's license
Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred
Credit union or banking experience preferred but not required

Position Description:
The South Dakota Department of Transportation Winner Area Office is looking for eager and capable interns to support our mission to provide "Better Lives through Better Transportation." By joining our team, you will become part of that larger purpose to maintain and build our state's roads and bridges for all South Dakotans and those who travel through our state. The Winner Area Office is looking for both Engineering students and non-Engineering students to help us fulfill this mission. We have work in a variety of capacities, from asset inventory of items like guardrail and culverts to working on large scale construction projects such as bridge and road reconstruction. We have opportunities for you to work independently and in a team setting. Our goal is to deliver the best possible internship experience for you while helping meet our goals and mission. Opportunities are available to work closely with our highly experienced Engineering and Technician staff to gain real world knowledge and skills. We have flexible scheduling available and opportunities for paid overtime. Interns will also be given safety apparel for use on the job and meal reimbursement when working away from the office. Typical work assignments include but are not limited to.

Assisting office personnel, maintenance, and supervisors on tasks. Assignments will allow you to work in a variety of environments, from the office to the great outdoors.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
