Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive LAN Administrator to support our customers' IT environments. This role is based out of your home office, handling Tier 2 support remotely, with occasional onsite visits when issues cannot be resolved over the phone. You may also be required to pick up replacement parts from our Richfield, OH depot/office. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with IRS guidelines.
The ideal candidate is hands-on with networking and end-user support, communicates well with customers, and can balance independent troubleshooting with collaborative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Remote & Onsite Support: Provide Tier 2 technical support for customer environments, resolving issues over the phone or in person as needed.
LAN Administration: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware/software (routers, switches, firewalls, cabling).
PC Installations & Peripherals: Set up and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and related devices.
Directory & Access Management: Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and group policies.
Ticketing & Documentation: Work within a ticketing system to track, document, and resolve customer requests and incidents.
Network Performance & Security: Monitor performance, diagnose connectivity issues, and apply best practices in network security (antivirus, firewalls, intrusion detection).
Collaboration: Work with senior engineers on upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
Knowledge Sharing: Document procedures and provide training/guidance to customers on common IT/network issues.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements for efficiency and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a LAN Administrator, Systems Administrator, or Tier 2 Support Technician.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and general networking protocols.
Hands-on experience with hardware such as Sonicwall, Aruba, Cisco, etc.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common business applications.
Experience with Active Directory and basic domain administration.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Customer-friendly communication and ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for onsite visits.

What You Will Do:

Maintain organized system of digital records and status reports.
Ensure Sales partners provide proper and complete documentation, reporting, and filing of all contractual records.
Accountable for all documentation completeness including required DocuSign.
