Auto-ApplyFounding Manufacturing Lead
San Francisco, CA jobs
We wire humans into AI. Our audio necklace is already shipping; smart-glasses with an on-device brain-interface come next. Demand isn't the problem-output is. We need a builder who lives for factory output, supplier pings at 3 a.m., and the smell of working 3D printers
What you'll do
Run a factory in SF
Hit the numbers
Q3: 5 000 Omi units in the U.S.
Q4: ramp to 30 k; 2026 target: 200 k.
Source every component-Li-Po, PCBs, plastics
China push trips when a supplier needs a face on the line.
Build the team: recruit techs, SMT operators, incoming-QC contractors.
You're right for this if
You've taken at least one consumer product to ≥1 000 shipped units (wearable, IoT, CE, robotics-volume matters).
Can read a BOM and know the broker who'll overnight the hard-to-find part.
Comfortable leading line techs on Monday and hand-soldering rework on Tuesday.
Thrive in a 6-day, in-person startup shop; get restless without high throughput.
Compensation
1 % - 5 % equity - real eight-figure upside on exit
$100 k - $200 k salary (experience-indexed)
Free housing, food, and 24/7 warehouse lab access
Why Omi
Units already sell out; your work is the growth gate.
Zero bureaucracy: you're the first ops lead-total ownership.
Next challenge after necklace: smart-glasses with BCI-hardware history in the making.
