WSP is currently initiating a search for a Paving Construction Inspector to help oversee multiple types of urban and rural pavement rehabilitation or preservation projects with construction values ranging from $1-$25 million. This position can be based out of Merrimack, NH Portland, Augusta or Eliot, ME, Waterbury, VT. The inspector will oversee various work elements including asphalt shimming, milling, reclaiming, filling, compacting, drainage improvements, striping and other incidental items. The inspector will report to the Resident Engineer, and may routinely, or periodically act as their representative, depending on experience. **Your Impact** + Interfacing with contactors and attending meetings. + Mentoring or supervising other inspectors, on behalf of resident engineer, or project manager. + Complete daily reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities. + Coordinate independent material sampling and testing. + Monitor maintenance of traffic. + Take and compile photographs, for tracking of daily progress. + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. **Who You Are** Required Requirements: + High School Diploma + 7 years applicable experience + Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans and specifications. + Have a valid driver's license. + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. WSP is seeking a Full Time Electrical Engineering (Substations) Intern - Summer 2026 to work out of our Augusta, ME office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program. This Opportunity WSP USA hosts hundreds of internships across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. Your Impact * Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills. * Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering. * Work under the guidance of experienced engineers on all aspects of utility substation design. * Participate in detailed design for low to extra-high voltage utility substations, including: one-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA and communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation layout, etc. * Perform design calculations in accordance with industry standards, such as IEEE, NEC, NESC, etc. * Assist senior engineers with QA/QC design checks. * Support design engineers with physical and protection/control design efforts for electric utility substations. * Complete training on assigned tasks. * Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. * Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. * Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
