Complete all required training and qualifications to become an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Technician, ensuring readiness for assigned duties. Some duties may require the use of protective equipment, which can include hard hats, safety glasses, and eye protection, respirators, ear protection, chemical suits, flame-resistant clothing (FRC), hot gloves, high-voltage protective gear, and fall protection. Fit testing for respirators will be required. Strict smoking restrictions apply in and around the facility. Job Qualifications Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school. Valid Massachusetts 2nd Class Fireman's License is required for consideration. Prior experience with electrical and mechanical systems, as well as proficiency in using hand tools, portable electric and pneumatic tools, and rigging equipment such as winches, hoists, and slings.
