During his tenure at Lucent Technologies Shelton managed a portfolio of Fortune 100 clients and was a perennial President's Club member. He directed the implementation of the ''world’s largest” digital voice messaging network (150K users 600 sites) for General Electric. He also led significant international projects, in EMEA, S. America, Asia and Oceania, for KPMG, Marsh Inc, Johnson & Johnson, Dow and Astra Zeneca. Shelton moved to the philanthropy sector in 2002. While COO/CIO at DVAEYC, he launched a revenue generating, social venture that provides technology services to childcare programs in PA. In 2007 he was tapped to direct Blueprint for a Safer Philadelphia, a multi-million dollar, government funded youth violence reduction initiative. As interim COO and Advisory Board Chair at Stop Hunger Now, Shelton directed significant corporate social responsibility partnerships with Salesforce, Microsoft, Glaxo Smith Kline and Genworth which resulted in hundreds of thousands of volunteers package hundreds of millions of meals that have been delivered to dozens of nations. A celebrated philanthropist, ordained pastor and certified leadership coach, Shelton regularly travels to developing nations and crisis points and speaks to groups on topics ranging from 'Strategic Visioneering'​ and 'Social Mobilization'​ to 'Living on Purpose'​ and 'Leading With Passion.'
