Key Responsibilities
Forecasts financial, manpower, and operational requirements for key businesses (start up, warranty, service agreements, paid service). Identifies and pursues service agreement business in conjunction with marketing and sales.
Manages start ups in terms of time and cost requirements. Manages local inventories and RMA procedure. Maintains DSO according to goal. Manages systems start up and warranty cost under reserve.

Physical Requirements:
This position often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors and working with electricity, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.

About the role
We are looking for an AV FieldServiceTechnician located in Northern California and supporting the region. This position reports directly to the FieldService Manager, Operations/Service.
The FieldServiceTechnician is responsible for ensuring that Electrosonic clients have the best service experience possible by providing complete service. Your duties will include collecting information, troubleshooting, assessing the fault, making repairs and changes in support of our service customers at all levels. This role includes directly assisting contract and ad hoc customers as well as members of the Electrosonic team during and after installations.
This role requires a detail minded, technically skilled individual; able to think quickly on your feet in a fast-paced environment. You need to be able to follow procedures and checklists but have the confidence to improvise when and where needed.
What you'll do
* Respond to the customer's location to perform service calls
* Able to quickly perform troubleshooting and repair services
* Identify faulty equipment and convey pertinent details for RMA or possible replacement
* Complete preventative maintenance service calls and complete the associated paperwork
* Provide onsite scouting and evaluation for new systems and upgrades
* Actively collaborate with internal teams across the business to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and superb product and service quality
* Create, update and maintain service reports and necessary support paperwork
* Improve and grow the relationships with customers by assisting with their technology and user experience questions

We are looking for a Technical Services Lead to join our Professional Services team at Submittable. This role acts as a technical expert, responsible for mastering our Submittable Next and Zengine grant management platforms to deliver exceptional customer automation and integration work. This role combines deep technical proficiency with strategic post-sales support and elements of project management, working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success Managers, and Professional Services Engineers to scope, design, and deliver complex technical solutions.
You'll work within a team to serve as a technical authority with light SOW authority, independently managing API integrations, automation workflows, project timelines, budgets, and customer communications while troubleshooting, ensuring our delivery commitments align with operational capacity and quality standards.
How You'll Make an Impact Presales Scoping and Support
Collaborate with Sales and Professional Service Engineers to define Professional Service project scope, timelines, and resource requirements
Provide time estimates and budget projections for technical implementations
Provide input on Statements of Work (SOWs) and other presales documentation
Ensure scoping aligns with operational capacity and delivery standards
Project Management and Delivery
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for technical implementations
Exercise light SOW authority to make tactical decisions and manage minor scope adjustments
Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes with customers
Track project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues appropriately
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Technical Implementation and Expertise
Become a subject matter expert in both Submittable Next and Zengine platforms, developing deep technical knowledge that enables you to solve complex customer challenges
Design, test, and troubleshoot API integrations, Zapier workflows, and custom technical solutions for clients
Independently diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing guidance to both customers and internal teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Customer Success Managers and Professional Services Engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences
Document solutions, create best practices, and contribute to the team's technical knowledge base
What We're Looking For
2+ Years Experience testing and working with APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms like Zapier
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and customer communications for technical implementations
Scoping and Estimation: Experience defining project scope, providing accurate time estimates, and managing resource requirements
Self-Sufficiency: Ability to work independently, learn new technologies quickly, and solve problems without constant oversight
Customer Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience managing customer expectations and leading UAT processes
Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to pivot between different projects and priorities
Nice to Have
Experience with grant management, nonprofit technology, or SaaS platforms
Familiarity with database concepts and data modeling
Experience creating technical documentation or training materials
Location: This is a remote, U.S.-based role - you must live and reside in the U.S. full-time.
Salary Details: The annual salary range for this position is $81,000 - $92,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
