Tom Stockert, CPA (Inactive), born in Bismarck ND, graduated from University of North Dakota Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Accountancy. Following graduation he joined Norwest Mortgage in Woodbury MN. In 1994 Tom joined Eide Bailly LLP's Bismarck office as a staff auditor. Later as audit supervisor he focused on construction and mining.



In March 1998 Tom joined Knife River Corporation (KRC) as a Financial Analyst. January 2000 he was promoted to Senior Financial Analyst and soon after he coordinated the accounting system design and implementation at Connolly-Pacific (CP) a KRC acquisition in Southern California.

In May of 2000 the acquisition was completed and Tom became Controller at CP. In January 2004 he was promoted to Vice President & Controller with responsibilities including finance, risk management and labor relations/human resources. From January through April 2004, Tom worked with KRC's Enterprise Resource Planning Group (ERP) while converting CP to JD Edwards.

In March 2006 Tom was named Vice President & Region Controller for KRC's North Central Region (Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska) headquartered in Central Minnesota. Tom provided regional leadership in development and management of standard financial policies and reporting along with business analysis and system support. From October 2006 to April 2007, Tom, along with great staff, built on his experience at CP through consolidation of seven Minnesota and Iowa companies into four while again working with KRC's ERP converting four accounting platforms to JD Edwards.

In March 2013 Tom became CFO of Abhe & Svoboda, Inc., a recognized leader in the coatings industry, and one of the largest and most experienced industrial painting contractors in the United States. He once again is working with a great staff that implemented Dexter+Chaney's Spectrum ERP system effective January 1, 2014. The first payroll was finalized around 5:00 PM December 31, 2013.
