The Opportunity
We're seeking a Tax Manager or early‑stage Tax Director to build and lead our in‑house tax services function. This is a high‑impact opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of the process, develop a new business unit, and grow quickly into a senior leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of tax preparation and compliance for the firm's various entities and clients
Oversee filings for Form 990, 1120, 1065, and related returns
Manage tax research, planning, and compliance across multiple business entities
Coordinate with internal finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
Evaluate and improve tax processes and internal controls

Qualifications

**Basic Qualifications :**

Primary Responsibilities
The AccountingManager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of financial reporting for Trademark Transportation. This role is accountable for the accurate tracking and reporting of operating revenues, cost of goods, and general and administrative expenses. This position will supervise and manage a team responsible for daily processing of receivables and payables. This role also leads accounting system projects and process improvements to support the organization's financial integrity and operational goals. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
* Prepare and review accurate weekly financial reports.
* Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring proper coding and record-keeping.
* Monitor and administer daily banking and cash management activities, maintain banking relationships.
* Perform and review account reconciliations.
* Supervise and manage the functions of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
* Prepare financial reports for management to aid in strategic decision-making.
* Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of accounting staff (e.g., Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processors).
