Title: Part-Time Position Institution: Jackson State Community College Instructors provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, or Physics labs at Jackson State Community College (JSCC). JSCC offers classes at four locations with the main campus located in Jackson, TN. In addition, courses may be administered online, hybrid, or FLEX as assigned. * Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required. * Utilize the college's learning management system (LMS) to provide course materials to students. * Update course syllabi to include name and contact information at least 1 week prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract. * Stay abreast of current developments in the teaching discipline. * Attend JSCC's adjunct orientation. * Collaborate collegially with full-time faculty in preparation and coordination of laboratory exercises and examinations in all modalities of instruction. * Ability to efficiently operate, maintain, and clean standard laboratory supplies including glassware, centrifuges, pH meters, dissection instruments, and microscopes. * Regularly check both your JSCC and eLearn emails and respond to emails/messages within 48 hours. * Submit final lab grades to the instructor of record, Department Chair, or Dean at least 48 hours prior to the final grade deadline. * Complete all required College trainings and reports including, but not limited, to attendance reporting, Early Alerts, cybersecurity training, Title IX training, etc. * Advise the Department Chair, Dean, and Division Secretary as soon as possible in the event you would need to be absent from class. * Comply with all JSCC and TBR policies and guidelines. * Perform other duties as assigned.
