In particular, we are looking for Adjunct Faculty who possess relevant professional and teaching experience to instruct the following in-person undergraduate course (initial assignments, with other coursework possible in the future): * Introduction to Business Law Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities * Teach undergraduate in-person classes that personally engage students using active, hands-on activities in the classroom. * Utilize the Canvas learning management system to deliver instruction (using an existing course structure and University-selected textbook/content materials, which faculty are welcome to supplement) and in-person student engagement using tools and features to deliver course content and record classroom attendance, grades, and assignments according to Cleary University instructional expectations. * Practice interactive pedagogical techniques to engage students and enhance the student experience in the classroom. * Implement relevant, creative, and effective teaching methodologies and tool utilization (including the appropriate and professional use of AI) to engage learners and inspire original thinking, problem solving, global sustainability, professional communications, ethics, and entrepreneurial mindset * Assess student learning based on institutional outcomes, course goals and objectives in an unbiased, timely, and respectful manner. * Hold regularly scheduled office hours (minimum of one hour per week for each three semester credit hour course) and be available to students on a regular basis. * Work collaboratively with other faculty members, departments, and staff to develop a meaningful experience for students. * Embrace education for diverse, global, and multi-cultural students. Required Qualifications and Skills * An earned JD or LLM degree from an institutionally (i.e., regionally) accredited college/university, with at least 18 graduate semester credits in relevant coursework. * One to three years of undergraduate teaching experience with undergraduate business law coursework (as specified above) at the university/college level. * One to three years of professional experience in business law. * Proficiency working with standard office, learning management, AI, videoconferencing, and mobile applications. * Ability to embrace The Cleary Mind as the University's approach to building each student's professional skills required by the workforce and job market. * Ability to apply professional experiences to inform and inspire students about real-world projects, situations, and challenges. These positions are supported through Michigan State University's Global Impact Initiative, designed to address global grand challenges and national priorities through the creation of over 100 new faculty positions in some of the most promising - and critical - fields of research. Candidates must have earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a discipline related to Space Electronics at the time of appointment, with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2026. Successful candidates will be expected to develop a sustainable, externally funded, and internationally recognized research program; contribute significantly to their discipline through scholarly work; demonstrate effective teaching and mentorship of both undergraduate and graduate students; participate in institutional and professional service; and contribute to the university's land-grant mission. Faculty appointments are expected to reside primarily within the College of Engineering; however, appointments in other colleges or academic units may be made, depending on the candidate's expertise and interdisciplinary alignment. Research areas of interest include but are not limited to abiotic and biotic stress responses; plant-environment interactions; genotype-by-environment dynamics; and systems, synthetic biology, and other functional or AI approaches that advance our understanding of plant adaptation and productivity under changing environments.
