QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Florida Certified Fire Fighter and Florida Instructor Certification 1, 2 or 3 * Must be a public speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. * Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach up, stoop ability to participate in physical activities related to firefighting, the ability to lift an object of fifty (50) pounds or less, and carry items in excess of fifty (50) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate Firefighting equipment, standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. Indian River State College expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
