An experiential course in numerical control programming techniques. Concepts of G-code programming and work holding are covered. Students will generate 3-D parts on CAM software and analyze the tool paths required for various types of machining operations. Programs will be processed to produce EIA-NC code which will then be loaded into a CNC machine to manufacture a part. Students will also learn how to export CAD files to CAM software. Like in previous courses, emphasis will be given to safety practices and workflow organization and maintenance procedures.
Adjunct faculty members typically teach one or more course sections per semester, being responsible for instructional preparation, content presentation, learning activities, and student assessment. Guidance from experienced faculty members and administrators as well as professional development will be available.
Adjunct faculty members are not required to advise students or to hold office hours.

Berkshire Community College (BCC) is actively building its adjunct pool for the Mathematics Department within the Science & Business Division. As student enrollment continues to grow?thanks in part to new initiatives like MassReconnect and MassEducate, offering "Free Community College"?we are preparing to meet demand by expanding our roster of qualified and dedicated instructors.
We are currently seeking adjunct faculty who are available to teach in person on our Pittsfield campus, either during the day or in the evening.
About the Role:
Adjunct faculty in the Science & Business Division deliver high-quality classroom instruction to students enrolled in certificate and associate degree programs.
