In this role, you will lead the development and maintenance of a robust data governance practice. This role will be critical in ensuring that our data is reliable, consistent, and effectively supports strategic marketing initiatives, such as Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing and supporting data governance frameworks, a robust knowledge of sales and marketing technologies, and certifications in data governance or data management. As part of our team, you'll find exciting challenges, get opportunities to grow your career, and be part of the foundation that enables marketing to optimize and grow. **WHAT YOU'LL DO:** + **Governance Framework Development** : Build a comprehensive governance framework focused on the data that fuels marketing. + **Define & Track Critical Data Elements (CDEs)** : Work with stakeholders to identify and build out documentation on critical data elements for marketing, ensuring they are well-understood across the organization. + **System & Process Analysis** : Understand specific processes and upstream systems that influence the marketing Critical Data Elements, document the data flows and recommend governance process improvements. + **Audit:** Develop a data audit framework that provides real-time notifications of data flow and quality issues. Proactively identify, track, communicate, and partner with data teams to resolve issues. + **Cross-functional Collaboration** : Work closely with marketing, sales operations, sales governance, data engineering, enterprise governance, and analytics teams to ensure alignment on data governance practices. + **Support Stakeholder Awareness:** Work with the broader Data Governance team to ensure stakeholders are aligned and aware of data quality metrics and governance measures. + **Provide Recommendations** : Proactively provide recommendations to improve data quality and ensure adherence to data standards. + **Data Lineage Documentation** : Develop and maintain data lineage documentation for key sales and marketing datasets to ensure transparency and traceability of data across systems. + **Drive Training and Education** : Support and deliver training sessions to improve data literacy and understanding of data governance practices. + **Data Stewardship** : Act as a data steward for marketing, work with relevant stakeholders to identify and develop corrective action plans and preventive measures to maintain data quality. \#LI-CS5 \#LI-hybrid **TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:** + You'll have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. + 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field. + Proven track record of implementing and supporting data governance frameworks. + Knowledge of marketing and sales technology, such as CRM, CDP, automation, and activation platforms. + Business Analysis skills and ability to understand complex systems and data flows. + Experience with process flow and data lineage documentation tools. + Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially in marketing and sales domains. + Excellent communication skills with an ability to convey complex data concepts to a variety of stakeholders. + Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data stewardship practices. + Experience with data auditing tools. + Strong problem-solving skills and experience in resolving data quality issues. + Strong expertise in leveraging SQL. + Certifications in data governance or data management (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional). + Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools is a plus. + Experience with Python is a plus.
