Job Description American Bridge Company BLASTER - en TRY LEVEL Coraopolis, PA - Full Time This is an hourly-rated position at the American Bridge Manufacturing (ABM) facility, shift hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. ABM is an AISC Certified Fabricator that supports all heavy civil construction projects for the Southland Holdings family of companies, including American Bridge Company. The position of Blaster is an entry level position for a candidate with limited to no experience. You will work with our team of professionals to learn how to sand-blast steel, as well as other relative skills related to steel fabrication and industrial coatings. Painters have the responsibility to perform blasting and painting utilizing marine coating to specified contract requirements. Understanding of blasting and painting specifications, including but not limited to blast profiles, milage requirements, ect. Perform blasting and painting applications as directed by supervision. Testing will consist of the ability to hook airlines to the manifold and spray horizontal, vertical and side to side. Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience as a blaster/painter Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications. Must be able to identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by the contract specifications. Must be able to sand blast and demonstrate how to utilize each part of the blast equipment. Must be pass drug screen (HFT) and background check.
