Job Description The Controlling Department Intern supports the Plant Controller in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting financial performance. This role provides hands-on exposure to cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while helping ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in financial processes. The intern will work closely with Plant Controller to support data-driven decision-making. Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including cost center, manufacturing, and variance analyses, and present findings to management and department leaders. Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in reporting. Analyze manufacturing variances, standard costs, fixed costs, and balance sheet items, identifying deviations from budget, forecast, or standard and supporting corrective actions. Investigate manufacturing cost issues and support the development of methods, processes, and programs to improve the plant's financial performance. Support the month-end closing, forecast, and budget processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules. Assist in the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and plant financial targets. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Plant Controller. Process Engineering Intern; to assist engineers with the process design for manufacturing of advanced polymer products. Tasks include design, statistical analysis, production process support, product testing, manufacturing instructions, data recording and entry. Primary Responsibilities: Monitor and document processes. Assist with the development and modification of engineering and manufacturing work instructions. Research and enter data into process documentation systems. Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to help solve basic engineering problems. These may include product design, manufacturing, process, materials, lean processes, etc. Build and assemble engineering development products, operations tools, and fixtures. We are seeking a Summer 2026 Project Manager Intern! This is a paid internship. SUMMARY: Individuals in this position will support the project manager in coordinating and executing customer projects. This internship provides exposure to project planning, communication with cross-functional teams, and the fundamentals of managing engineering projects from concept to completion. The intern will work under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager to gain practical experience in scheduling, documentation, and customer support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Senior Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and coordination of tasks. Review customer specifications, quotes, and orders for completeness and accuracy under supervision. Support the development of project timelines, milestone tracking, and resource planning. Participate in internal and external meetings to observe and assist in project communication and follow-up. Help prepare project documentation such as meeting minutes, progress updates, and change order summaries. Assist with data collection and cost tracking related to project budgets and performance metrics. Participate in design and production meetings to gain an understanding of project flow and engineering collaboration.
