Perform minor rework and maintain tool control in accordance with procedures. Maintain personal and tool certifications and seek assistance from supervisors when necessary. Set up tools and equipment for drilling and fastener installation in complex structures. Operate various hand and machine tools, monitoring equipment functionality and performing routine maintenance. Coordinate the movement and preparation of materials and tools for tasks. Cut, file, drill, and assemble parts, ensuring proper fitting and quality standards. Conduct reaming, riveting, and sealing operations, applying corrosion inhibitors as needed. Utilize calibrated tools to verify work against specifications and ensure quality. Manage equipment and materials within the work cell to ensure efficient workflow. Physical Demands and Potential Hazards: Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs. Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants. Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards. Schedule: Full-time | On-site We are seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team in Silverdale, WA. The Forklift Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks (2,000-70,000 lb. capacity), and other MHE. Dismantle and reassemble equipment to OEM specifications and Navy standards. Inspect and repair electric, diesel, propane, or gasoline-powered MHE and related systems. Troubleshoot and repair drive trains, hydraulic systems, brakes, and electrical systems. Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed. Research and identify replacement parts for order. Maintain tools, documentation, and adherence to all safety and operational procedures. Qualifications: Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a forklift, MHE, or heavy equipment mechanic in commercial or government settings. You will report to the Director of Maintenance and will be responsible for the following, including but not limited to: Inspection and repair of helicopter and components according to the highest standards of the FAR's, manufacturer's programs, Hillsboro Aviation's s AAIP, and repair station guidelines USFS/DOI contract coverage as field mechanic Ability to use computer databases and software programs to track ongoing maintenance. At least 6 months experience as an A&P within the past 2 years At least 1 full season of experience under “field” conditions within the previous 10 years At least 3 months experience maintaining a helicopter away from an operator's principal hanbase of operations Ability to obtain a USFS / interagency mechanic card Preferred Skills/Experience Bell and / or Airbus Helicopters factory training course (field maintenance, component overhaul, and / or electrical maintenance) Management or shop lead level experience/desired Willingness to adjust work schedule to be available for after-hour callouts as needed. The Float Aircraft Mechanic II provides onsite maintenance support for Life Flight Network (LFN) aircrafts including management of base inventory, planning and scheduling aircraft maintenance, maintenance of the base library and LFN owned ground support equipment. The Aircraft Mechanic II is also responsible for aviation maintenance including assisting in planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services for LFN in compliance with LFN's FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate. **The Float Aircraft Mechanic provide aircraft mechanic coverage to Spokane, Moses Lake, Brewster, Washington and Coeur d'Alene, Sandpoint, Idaho ** QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Completion of two years of an Aviation Science trade or vocational school, or equivalent combination of education and experience Five years as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Airframe and Powerplant Certification Inspection Authorization Certification preferred Responsible for having a thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Three years of FAR 135 turbine rotorcraft maintenance experience Three years' experience working for an EMS helicopter program preferred Maintenance experience on Bell 407, Bell 429, EC135 and PC12 desirable Avionics experience desirable Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Analytical abilities sufficient to handle complex technical and administrative issues Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers Strong work ethic with team-oriented approach Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug test Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed Excellent verbal and written communication skills Superior customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization Able to take initiative, creating, implementing and improving procedures Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN's service area is required.
