Altenheim company history timeline
Started by a group of local women of the German-American Ladies Society, Altenheim opened in 1892.
After much discussion, in 1905, they purchased a home with acreage located in the Louisville Highlands.
Located in the Highlands of Louisville, The Altenheim opened in 1906 as a retirement community.
In response to growing and changing needs, Altenheim moved to its present campus in Strongsville in 1980.
ALTENHEIM CLOSED. In 2002, after extended efforts to keep the facility open, the Altenheim officially closed.
