Chris is an entrepreneur, CEO and investor having co-founded and backed several successful technology companies. He is an active board member, investor and mentor to early stage technology companies and has a passion for backing and supporting fearless entrepreneurs disrupting big markets. In addition to his early stage experience, Chris has held senior executive positions at leading technology companies including Oracle, PriceWaterhouse, and Fiserv.Chris graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and was named Software Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005 by the California Software Council.

As Chief Science Officer at Amplion, Adam uses his 25 years of experience in biomedical and data science to develop the Deep Learning models that power our Biomarker Intelligence platform.

Adam believes deeply in the power of data analysis to improve human health and derives the greatest joy from managing interdisciplinary teams to achieve results that would be impossible otherwise.

Prior to founding Amplion, Adam was a Director at Bend Research (now part of Lonza) where he ran technology development programs in several areas, including nanoparticle drug delivery and biotherapeutic production, as well as led the team that built the activity quantifying algorithms in the Nike FuelBand.

Adam was an Assistant Adjunct Professor at UCSF, where he ran the Center for Advanced Technology. And he earned a PhD at UCSF in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a BA in Chemistry at Williams College.

As Chief Marketing Officer at Amplion, Michael brings over 20 years of experience in growing SaaS and software companies across a range of industries and functional roles.

Michael believes that elegant products inspired by a powerful mission can drive meaningful impact for individuals and our communities.

Prior to joining Amplion, Michael led marketing, business development and product teams at several high-growth companies, including Abodo, CrowdStreet, Profit Point and Rent.com. He is an insatiable entrepreneur who has advised and mentored dozens of startup founders and CEOs. Michael earned a BA in Psychology from UC Irvine and a JD from McGeorge School of Law.

As the Chief Financial Officer at Amplion, Tim manages the company’s Finances and oversees the Human Resources and Legal functions.

Tim brings a broad financial skillset, including experience in private equity, consulting, corporate finance and nonprofit management. Over the years he has worked with dozens of early- and growth-stage startups, including some of the most well funded tech startups in Oregon.

Tim graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

I am a driven goal-orientated Immunologist currently supporting immune monitoring and mechanism of action studies for Immuno-Oncology from early development and trial conception to global Phase III clinical trials. I have proven experience as a manager, project leader, and as a team player. A major focus of my team is supporting clinical immunology of active immunotherapy in Phase I-III clinical trials with in-house assay development as well as CRO management. My passion for the field of Immuno-Oncology dates to my doctoral work in combinatorial peptide library approaches to synthetic antibodies, but my specific interest is in bringing biomarkers from early development into validated clinical use using integrated data analysis and cross-platform biomarker discovery. I am highly motivated to explore new approaches to standardized data handling, data mining, and data visualization techniques in order to reveal mechanisms of action and surrogate biomarkers. I appreciate working on every part of the trial process as part of cross-functional project teams where I have had the opportunity to work on regulatory filings, contract negotiations and execution, clinical trial design and execution, and global biospecimen logistics from collection to consent requirements.

- peptide chemistry (small molecule cancer applications, kinetics)

- cell biology (cell differentiation, functional analysis, specific interest in monocytes, dendritic cells, microglial cells, NK cells)

- multiplex analysis (Luminex, combinatorial peptide libraries)

- general immunology platforms (ELISA, western blots, hybridomas, antibody conjugations, peripheral blood cell isolation, assay development, TLC, flow cytometry)

- GxP experience (experience with direct patient contact / study recruiting in clinical environment, SOP writing, clinical trial support (Multi-Center studies, Phase I/II/III Clinical Trials)
