The company was founded on 2 February 1966 and is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey.“
1969 The group’s first beer brand Efes Pilsen commences production at the Efes Beverages Group’s first two breweries– Erciyas Biracılık (İstanbul) and Ege Biracılık (İzmir)–and goes on sale
Aydın Örs is the name who carried Anadolu Efes, which started its Europe journey in 1970-80 seasons in 90's.
1971 Tarbes commences production and begins supplying the group’s breweries with the hops they need.
1973 Production begins at the group’s maltery in Afyon.
1974 Güney Biracılık, the group’s third brewery, commences production.
The club was founded in 1976 as Efes Pilsen S.K. by taking over the Turkish second-division club Kadıköyspor which had failed due to financial problems.
The club has its own practice facility in the district of Bahçelievler, which was built in 1982.
Anadolu Efes Basketball Team once more won the Turkish Championship and right after this, it was repeated in 1983-84 season again, 2 championships in a row.
1984 Production begins at Anadolu Biracılık, the group’s second maltery.

1993 Efes Sınai Yatırım Holding A.Ş. (Efes Sınai) is set up to undertake Coca-Cola bottling investments in CIS countries.
1994 25% of Efes Sınai shares are sold to foreign institutional investors in a private placement.
1995 Coca-Cola Almaty Bottlers (CCAB), a Coca-Cola bottling plant owned by Efes Sınai, commences operation in Kazakhstan.
1996 Kazakhstan-based Karaganda Brewery is acquired when it undergoes privatization.
In 1996, Anadolu Efes made history by winning Korac Cup.
In 1996-97 season, Anadolu Efes once more won the Turkish Championship, for the 8th time as a team and for the 5th time with coach Aydın Örs.
1998 Efes Breweries International (EBI) is set up in Holland to conduct the group’s international beer operations.
1999 MEB begins producing malt.
With Aydın Örs' leaving in 1999, the young couch Ergin Ataman, who brought the Saporta Cup to Monte Paschi Siena Italy, took over the team.

2004 A majority stake is acquired in the Zajecar brewery in Serbia.
2005 Introduced the first draft beer in a keg-shaped bottle in the world.

2006 CCİ acquires Mahmudiye natural spring water company in Turkey.
Anadolu Efes was invited in the beginning of 2006-07 season to the USA to play two friendly games within the scope of "NBA Europe Live Tour” in line with the agreement signed between NBA and Euroleague.
In 2006, Efes Pilsen became the first Turkish basketball club to be invited to play with NBA teams.
In the beginning of 2007-08 season, Anadolu Efes welcomed Minnesota Timberwolves from NBA within the scope of “NBA Europe Live Tour”, and played a friendly game against Timberwolves on October 6th, 2007.
In 2007, Efes Pilsen hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Abdi İpekçi Arena.
2008 CCİ acquires 49% of the shares in Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Ltd (CCBPL), in which TCCC formerly controlled a majority stake.
In the same season, Efes won its first BSL championship since 2009.
2010 CCİ makes its first venture into the mineral water segment with the launching of its “Damla Minera” line of products at its Bursa plant.
Anadolu Efes won the Presidential Cup in 2010, winning this prestigious title for the ninth time, and being the team with the most titles of Presidential Cup.
2011 Anadolu Efes signs a collaboration agreement with SABMiller.
In 2011, the club changed its name to Anadolu Efes S.K. after TAPDK (Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regulatory Authority) prohibited the advertisement of tobacco and alcohol products in sports organizations.
2012 Anadolu Group entered the Southern Iraq market through an acquisition.
2015 New Plants in Dushanbe (Tacikistan), Astana (Kazakistan) and Multan (Pakistan) started production.
2016 AB InBev acquired SABMiller Plc as of October 12, 2016 and became a new indirect partner of Anadolu Efes.
In the 2017–18 season, Efes finished in the 16th and last place in the EuroLeague.
2018 EFES Pilsen awarded superior quality certificate for the 1st time in Turkey from German VLB Berlin which is one of the world’s most credible and independent beer academies.
In the 2018–19 season, Efes had success in the EuroLeague as it managed to clinch the fourth-seed in the regular season.
2020 As a result of long term practices in the R&D center in Izmir, Anadolu Efes brewmasters developed the “+1 Resting” technique.
2021 Anadolu Efes established a global innovation center called Anadolu Efes Yenilik Atölyesi in order to develop the beer culture with innovative studies and to have a greater say in the world beer market.
