Numerous technical challenges arise when designing advanced SiP products including electromagnetically modeling complex packages, co-designing and optimizing ICs plus package, running system-level simulation and verification at various levels of abstraction, running system-level physical verification, analyzing thermomechanical stress, and more. To support this complex engineering domain, Analog Devices' Chip Package System Engineering (CPSE) team has developed a platform on which various SiP design flows are built using leading-edge tools and advanced methodologies.
We are seeking to hire a motivated intern to work with both the CPSE team and ADI's design engineers to provide support for this platform, and to drive forward enhancements.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Work on improvements to the platform, under the guidance of CPSE experts
• Provide support for the platform through close interaction with ADI's engineers,
across a broad range of products
• Engage with technical experts at leading EDA vendors, and drive feature
enhancements
Minimum Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience through courses or employment in some/all of these areas preferred:
• Analog/RF Circuits: Knowledge of analog and/or RF circuit fundamentals
• Mixed-Signal IC Design: Knowledge of analog/digital circuit integration
• Simulation Modeling: Familiarity with simulation tools such as SPICE,
MATLAB, and Cadence Design Suite to validate design performance
• Integrated Circuit Layout: Understanding of physical IC layout
considerations and hands-on experience with layout tools and techniques

Design Verification Engineer Intern - Analog Devices (ADI)
As a Design Verification Engineer Intern at Analog Devices (ADI), you'll gain hands-on experience verifying digital, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) designs. About the Role
We are seeking a motivated intern to contribute to cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal design and automation initiatives. ADI's Aerospace and Defense Module Product Line has an open position for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Working on new technology development, you will design cutting-edge integrated modules and subsystems for phased array radar systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The RF Amplifier product development team is seeking a motivated Product Engineer to join ADI's Aerospace and Defense Business Unit. The team develops state of the art, industry leading amplifier (power, low noise, and differential), transmit/receive module, and limiter products. Products cover frequencies from low MHz through tens of GHz. The position is located in our Chelmsford, MA facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Advancement of RF products to market release.
Measurement of product performance from first silicon evaluation through product validation/characterization.
Analysis and plotting of data to share with the product team.
Definition and creation of test setups for measurement.
Product validation/characterization and associated test plan development.
Product specification and data sheet creation.
Collaboration as required with other functions such as design, test, applications, reliability, marketing, planning, etc.
Regular participation in data reviews, test plan reviews, and status meetings.
Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years related work experience or MS in Electrical Engineering with 0-2 years related work or academic experience.
Solid understanding of basic electrical circuit theory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in RF semiconductor product, test, or applications engineering.
Firm understanding of RF performance figures-of-merit such as S-parameters, gain compression, P1dB, Psat, efficiency, noise figure, intercept points such as IP3, etc.
Measurement experience using RF instruments such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and power analyzers as well as oscilloscopes and SMUs.
Knowledge of RF probing.
Understanding of basic semiconductor fabrication and assembly/packaging technologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
