The Applications Engineer - will play a critical role in the successful commercialization and technical support of Zurn Wilkins' Master Mixing Valve product line. This position bridges the gap between product design, field support, and customer education-providing hands-on technical expertise during system selection, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The engineer will serve as a product champion, providing frontline support in the field and enabling our rep network and customer base through training and knowledge transfer. Key Responsibilities: * Product & System Design Support: Assist specifiers, engineers, and representatives in product and system selection for new construction and retrofit projects in key verticals (e.g., healthcare, education, hospitality). Provide application-specific guidance to ensure optimal product fit and system integration. * Field Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Travel to job sites to support system startups, commissioning, and in-field validation. Diagnose and resolve performance or connectivity issues in collaboration with field contractors, service reps, and engineering teams. Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement of installation and support practices. * Training & Technical Enablement: Develop and deliver training content for rep agencies, contractors, and internal teams on product installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting. Conduct on-site and remote training sessions across North America, creating a base of field knowledge that drives confident installation and adoption. * Voice of Customer (VOC) Capture: Capture field feedback and application-specific insights to inform product development and enhancements. Interface with product management, engineering, and marketing to support product roadmap development. * Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with marketing to develop technical documentation, installation guides, and field support materials. Support quality and warranty teams in resolving escalated field concerns. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical field experience. * 3+ years in a technical applications, field support, or commissioning role-preferably with building automation systems, plumbing systems, or electro-mechanical products. * Strong understanding of plumbing and hydronic systems; knowledge of Digital Mixing Valve, Thermostatic Mixing Valves, or similar product categories preferred. * Experience with Building Automation System (BAS) integration is a plus. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence external reps and contractors. * Willingness to travel extensively (~50%) across the U.S. and Canada. Preferred Attributes: * Hands-on experience with digital controls or IoT-enabled plumbing products. * Familiarity with ASSE 1017, ASSE 1070, and Legionella mitigation practices. * Comfort with both jobsite environments and corporate stakeholder engagement. Salary Range: The compensation range(s) identified below are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
