Aleks Szymanski
Scrypt

Aleks is a Brit who has spent the past two decades growing technology businesses across the globe. Aleks has an unusual mix of left and right brain thinking. From before he could walk, he understood how products worked and began his early life as a design engineer. The combination of boredom and a childhood dream led him to spend his early career as a Royal Air Force helicopter pilot with operations in the UK, Northern Ireland, Falklands and Hong Kong and 24/7 Search and Rescue. Ask him about a door hitting the tail rotor or landing on a frigate at night in the North Atlantic. The acute challenges of his flying experiences have honed his clarity of business thinking and delivery-oriented approach. He then immersed himself in a ‘fad’ called ‘the internet’ and has spent more than a decade developing strategies and solutions in the online environment. In 2001, he exited a pure play online retail business that he’d previously founded to set-up a multi-award winning digital marketing agency. In 2008, Aleks founded a boutique consultancy to help technology-related businesses in UK, US and Asia blend the ingredients of strategy, creativity and insight to grow fast. That led him to start some strategic consulting for Scrypt, Inc. and leading the companies transformation. He fell in love with the company, Austin, TX and became CEO in June 2009. Aleks is passionate about thinking, creativity and problem-solving. With a thirst for learning, Aleks considers himself ‘work in progress’ and likes nothing more than facing the 'impossible' challenge. Specialties: Innovative technology, developing software and apps, cloud computing. Digital marketing, usability, B2B marketing. Document managment and delivery.
