In 2003, ASCC opened a new state of the art library;

to back up its statement that Aiken was "knowledgeable of the work done at the Watson Astronomical Computing Bureau at Columbia by Wallace Eckert." The Smart Computing Encyclopedia on the Web (June 2004) contains the following paragraph in its entry on IBM engineer Clair D. Lake:

In 2008, ASCC added a new Lecture Hall, administrative offices, and two new Teacher Education classrooms;

In 2011, all classrooms, science labs and computer labs, were renovated and upgraded with funding from the American Reinvestment Recovery Act (ARRA);

Another milestone in ASCC’s history was that in 2013 “we were accredited for our Bachelors degree in Education,” she said and explained that ASCC cannot continue as an accredited institute of higher education, unless it follows and complies with four standards.

As part of the presentation, Doctor Pato said that 2020 is “very important year for us [as] this our 50th year celebration.” She gave some highlights in the college’s history, covering 5-decades of higher education, that “marks ASCC as being very unique”.
