    As a Senior EHS Engineer at our Phoenix, Arizona product development center, you will report to the Site EHS/Sustainability Leader and join an accomplished team comprised of scientists, engineers, and professionals at the forefront of technological innovation. You will become part of a global organization dedicated to excellence at every level, with a strong commitment to achieving leadership in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Product Safety, and Corporate Sustainability. Responsibilities: Offer guidance and expertise to the site EHS team for the development and maintenance of ASM's EHS programs supporting organizational objectives. Apply knowledge of local and regional EHS regulations as well as company policy to site operations. Use advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, introducing innovative perspectives to address existing challenges. Influence a diverse group of stakeholders, including customers, executives, peers, contractors, and site personnel. Support and ensure compliance with all relevant ASM EHS Policies, contributing to a safe workplace for employees and guests. Provide subject matter expertise regarding workplace health and safety issues within the line organization. Assess site and regional performance against corporate requirements in environmental, health, and safety domains. Analyze EHS metrics to identify trends and implement improvement plans that mitigate risk and enhance performance. Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of safety, environmental, and sustainability programs, such as hazardous material permits and management plans. Develop best practices, procedures, training materials, and controls to ensure work is accomplished safely and in accordance with relevant regulations, SEMI standards, ASM EHS protocols, customer requirements, and EMS. Advise on the implementation and maintenance of emergency response control plans to ensure effective protection of personnel, visitors, equipment, and facilities at ASM Phoenix. Play a role in the continuous development of the global safety training program. Oversee safety incident and health case reporting in line with regulatory and corporate guidelines. Promote continual improvement in EHS performance through systematic facility and program audits. Execute both global and local training programs and evaluate their effectiveness. Provide support for the Resilience Plan /Disaster Recovery Program at ASM Phoenix. Respond to emergencies during off-hours as required. Manage the site SDS database and GHS labeling compliance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Experience in Environmental Health & Safety within manufacturing and/or equipment design environments. On-site position based at the ASM location currently in Phoenix with a future location in Scottsdale. Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant local environmental and safety regulations or standards applicable to manufacturing and R&D settings. Preferred experience in environmental and occupational health and safety within high-tech industries or semiconductor fabrication facilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. Knowledge of industrial hygiene methods and standards relevant to the semiconductor industry. Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic organizations. Strong influencing skills without direct authority. Advanced analytical abilities coupled with proven problem-solving skills. Demonstrated independent critical thinking and a proactive approach to learning and guidance. Adaptability to evolving environments and strategies. Professional certifications preferred, such as Associate or Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist. Ability to work in cleanroom environments around semiconductor equipment, including process modules, hazardous gas/chemical systems, and supporting infrastructure; must be capable of conducting audits and inspections in physically demanding cleanroom settings.
