We are looking for a Mainframe assembler who has done coding from scratch in Assembler. This project is 95% based on ASSEMBLER and 5% on COBOL.
• Candidate must have Coding experience from scratch in Assembler
• At least 8-10 years of experience in COBOL ASM CICS and DB2
• Experience working in DB2 Stored procedures Native SP SQL
• At least 8-10 years of experience in software development life cycle

Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Assembler I is assembling products in adherence to predetermined standards. This position involves the assembly of highly intricate components or equipment that demand strict tolerance thresholds. Essential Duties

Identifies problems with products, machinery, or processes and reports them to the supervisor or maintenance department for resolution.
Monitors raw materials in the work cell and communicates low levels before runout occurs.
Required to meet daily production quotas, assembly cycle times, and tact times established by management.
Complies with all safety regulations and maintains organization and cleanliness of work area/site.
Supports organizational goals and upholds the importance of continuous improvement.
Performs minor rework as needed to precisely detail parts and components for correct assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Shear and Roll Sheet Metal:

* Sand or polish parts by hand to prepare them for welding or inspection, ensuring smooth and clean surfaces.
* Clean Parts for Inspection:
* Thoroughly clean parts to prepare them for quality inspections, removing any contaminants or residues.
* Laser Etch Parts:
* Utilize laser etching equipment to mark parts as required, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
* Prepare and Stuff Bellows Tubes:
* Assemble and stuff bellows tubes with the required materials, following detailed work instructions.
* Technical Documentation:
* Read and understand basic technical documentation, including blueprints and work instructions.
* Accurately complete required forms and documentation, ensuring all data is correctly recorded.
* Component Assembly:
* Assemble aerospace components and sub-assemblies according to specifications and work instructions.

JOB SUMMARY
To assemble product in accordance with shop orders and established production procedures. To produce a product in high quality by utilizing the necessary tools and equipment provided. Work using the NYPS philosophy and 6's. Have the ability to perform with speed and accuracy in all processes of the job.
DUTIES/RESULTS
Determined type of instrument, parts necessary and production procedure to be followed for the required instrumentals by reading shop orders or work card.
Assemble the product or sub-assembly per established production procedure by using a variety of tools including but not limited to electric drivers, soldering irons, crimpers and welders.
Maintain high quality level by using proper assembly and testing techniques. Carry out under NYPS System making suggestions and learning all workstations. Must always maintain display the 6's.
Call the attention of the Group Leader, Supervisor, or Manager any quality or process problems as soon as they occur.
Must be flexible to cross training on other lines as required.
Promote and develop the NYPS way of production.
Maintain and develop a teamwork attitude and environment.
Must have high level of dexterity to perform with accuracy in producing high quantities of product with emphasis on quality.
Must exhibit above average soldering techniques and skills with small electric tools, producing with minimum errors.
Knowledge to rest and assemble product using Hi-pot, DC standards, AC standards, compressed gas cylinders, spot welders, winders, crimping machines other equipment necessary to perform the job.
Demands a high level of concentration and comprehension to follow all work instructions and established procedures.
ESD knowledge and practices required in designated areas.
Ability to read and follow schematics and Engineering documentation for assembly purposes.
Perform other duties as assigned by manufacturing management.
Ability to perform within a high stress environment.
Ability to perform operations using different types of hand tools. (wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble boiler parts such as gas trains, water pipes, economizer piping, oil piping and wind boxes (average weight handled varies from 5-20 lbs.) using hand tools, air tools, and overhead crane;
Assemble boiler parts onto boilers based on schematics of boilers. Use hand tools air ratchets, ladders (8'-10' ladders), overhead cranes and jib cranes;
Maintain knowledge, observe and practices appropriate procedures regarding safety, quality and environmental standards. Participate in team meetings and decision-making. Keep work area safe, tidy and clean. Clean work area after job is completed;
Move completed parts to next operation using overhead cranes or puts in crates to be moved by store person;
Wraps boilers in insulation;
Assemble wooden crates and crate boilers for shipping using hand tools ladders and air tools;
Wire electrical panels and make wiring harnesses;
Connect wires from electrical panel to switch relays on boilers using wire harness;
