Job Summary
We're looking for an Assembler III responsible for preparing and assembling the product at our Griffin, Georgia facility. This individual will be responsible for training, mentoring and assessing other assemblers while exhibiting the highest level of execution and behavior expected of EPD employees.
What You Will Do
Prepare components for assembly.
Assemble parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routers.
Assembles quality products to meet safety protocol and efficiency standards.
Tests or assists in testing the operation of completed product.
Perform rigging and equipment moves by overhead crane and various powered vehicles.
Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards.
Train others in the assembly process.

What You Will Have
Ability to work in a fast paced, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints/schematics.
Must have working knowledge or hand tools and various power tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc.)
Able to work in a team environment.
The ability to perform work involves frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours.

Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is currently looking for a driven candidate to start a career assembling batteries. Successful candidate will need to fulfill daily production requirements given from the department supervisor. The position will work at various workstations within the stage one battery assembly department. The candidate will be given hands on training by the supervisor and colleagues; this is an exceptional career opportunity. Previous experience is not required but a plus. Overtime may be available.
Competencies:
Follow written and oral instructions.
Operate and adjust machine(s) to control quality standards within stage one department.
Verify setup and the correct material is being used.
Case groups in correct orientation.
Use a hand torch.
Operate epoxy machine.
Inspect and clean plates.
Finish battery terminals.
Standing for long periods of time.
Maneuvering up to 80 pounds.
Reaching, carrying, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling.
Wearing a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Comply with all safety requirements; participate in safety training/practices.
Maintain a clean work area and follow company hygiene guidelines.

Communicate to supervisor when detecting defective materials.
Fill out daily production report

JOB SUMMARY
Use a variety of electronic equipment to assemble, test and pack units per established YCA procedures and customer order requirements. Must interface, communicate and work well with co-workers, Group Leaders and Managers.
DUTIES/RESULTS
Produce units based on an hourly production.
Determine type of unit, parts necessary and production procedures to be followed for the required unit model by reading shop orders, Tokochu and work tags.
Assemble instrument per established production procedures by using a variety of electric tools, gauges and hand tools. Accurately completes the needed data on all check sheets or any other required information.
Maintain high quality level by using proper assembly and testing techniques. Carry out duties under NYPS system making suggestions and learning all process.
Maintain a clean work area by continuous monitoring of assigned station.
Must have high level of dexterity to perform with accuracy in producing required quantities of product, with emphasis in quality.
Maintain and develop a team work environment
Must exhibit high quality soldering techniques and skills.
Promptly notify Group-leaders of quality or parts problems.
Must be flexible to cross train wherever needed.
Ability to use many different types of testing equipment to ensure the quality and accuracy of all units built.
High priority of producing units with no rejects.
Must follow all department and company safety policies and procedures.
Performs all work safely and contributes to improving safety in the workplace.
Performs other duties as required or as directed by circumstances.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Possess good mechanical dexterity
Ability to read drawings, tokochus and any other data needed to assemble and test product to the required specifications.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE: Requires one (3) to five (5) years' experience in Mfg. and mechanical assembly.
