Electro-Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift Mon-Fri 7 am-3:30 pm (OT - 6 am - 3:30 pm) Effective w/e 11/25/2023, all new starts for Boonton will have a 30% increase to their base pay to cover the client\'s compensation package. Please inform the contractor that they will lose their 30% increase at conversion but will gain their benefits, including PTO and Holiday pay.
This is due to the new law passed in NJ.
Position Summary:
Responsible for complex and diversified assembly of a variety of products in which mechanical drawings or work instructions are provided. Intricate fitting, adjusting, and aligning of a considerable number of parts (involving close tolerances and interrelated factors) are required to complete products, units, or sub-assemblies. Hand tools and usage of machines will be required to perform the assembly. Follows schedule provided by SAP and management.
Position Responsibilities:
Assembles and/or wires complex equipment following blueprints, models, and model prints. Skilled adjusting, fitting, and aligning are required within close tolerances.
Follows work cell procedures or mechanical drawings and product structures.
Sets up, operates, and maintains basic production machines such as component engravers, presses, crimpers, riveting or encapsulation machines.
Is flexible and able to perform many operations on product in and outside of home department.
Uses hand and power tools as required.
Builds harness assemblies.
Light usage of computers to monitor and report job status and component availability. Will need to be able to open prints or work instructions from system and write to excel or SAP databases.
May perform thru-hole PCB assembly.
Performs related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Works overtime as required.
Strives to meet prescribed quality standards in an ISO environment.
Follows proper use of PPEs to promote a safe work environment and performs 5S steps to ensure clean, hazard-free, and efficient work area.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum of 1-3 years electro-mechanical assembly experience. Mechanical assembly with electronic/electrical safety knowledge is acceptable.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics; read and identify proper components and color schemes.
Must present excellent workmanship standards.
Must have good verbal communication skills.
Senior Micro Electronic Assembler

The Senior Electronic Assembler works under moderate supervision and performs the various tasks necessary to assemble micro-electronic assemblies for production. The Assembler will also perform standard assembly, die bonding, wire bonding, and installation steps for the components required in production line assemblies. This includes the documentation necessary to track the traveler (electronic or paper) and the assembler's performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Performing a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
Preparing assembly work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and following blueprint specifications
Populating PCB's from Work Instructions and Assembly Drawings / Bills of Material
Assembling components by positioning parts and sub-assemblies examining connections for correct fit, and fastening parts and sub-assemblies
Performing two or three of the following job duties; Board Mount; Solder SMT components on PCB's
Assembling PCB's into housings using wire bonding and die attach.
Cleaning PCB's and assemblies throughout process and after completion
Continuously meeting/exceeding production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards
Maintaining logs and paperwork and forms accurately consistent with company policy and practices
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in microelectronic assembly (die attach / wire bonding)
Ability to read assembly drawings
Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures
Knowledge of basic computer skills
Ability to work with general instruction on daily activities
Basic reading and writing in English as well as basic arithmetic skills
Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to work under a microscope for long-periods of time
