Position Summary
Perform a wide variety of mechanical or measurement assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable assembling, bonding and fitting on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint and test specifications.
Reports to: Assembly Supervisor
Job Duties
Acquires job skills and learns all applicable company policies and procedures.
Complete assigned tasks while following manufacturing, schedules, policies and procedures.
Normally receives little instruction on daily work. Requires instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Assumes responsibility for meeting schedules and quality of work.
Act as a champion of the company's Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
Time and attendance are in accordance with company policies, procedures, and work area schedule.
Complete work orders on schedule to ensure a constant flow of finished product to support production and customer service levels.
Complete a variety of manufacturing tasks as trained and directed by your supervisor including but not limited to bonding, potting, hand soldering (surface mount/thru hole & wire bonding), mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly.
Notify manager of all Defective Material Reports (DMR).
Ability to escalate situations and conditions that are critical to quality, safety and on-time delivery.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2+ years of related experience.
Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment a plus.
Experience in surface mount and thru hole pcba soldering required.
Soldering certification to IPC 610 or willingness to complete certifications.
Demonstrated the ability to perform delicate, high skill, processes on small parts.
Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with MRP systems a plus.

Scope:
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for hand soldering, along with set-up and operation of automated soldering machine used in soldering of printed circuit boards. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Follows verbal and written instructions including blueprints, subassembly layouts. May use hand tools, set up, adjust and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines. Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Hand Solder electronic components in through-hole and surface mount technology to Military Standards.
· Sets up and operates automated soldering equipment.
· Adjusts automated soldering equipment.
· Checks circuit boards in process for pin holes, insufficient solder, excess solder and leaners. Adds solder as needed.
· Adjusts temperature and pressure controls for proper operation.
· Perform specialized testing of products. Technical school training preferred. Good mechanical skills and understanding of basic forms of digital and analog circuitry.
· Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.
· Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner.
· Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes.
· Attends meetings, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors safety hazards and issues.

Scope:
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for hand soldering, along with set-up and operation of automated soldering machine used in soldering of printed circuit boards. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Follows verbal and written instructions including blueprints, subassembly layouts. May use hand tools, set up, adjust and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines. Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Hand Solder electronic components in through-hole and surface mount technology to Military Standards.
· Sets up and operates automated soldering equipment.
· Adjusts automated soldering equipment.
· Checks circuit boards in process for pin holes, insufficient solder, excess solder and leaners. Adds solder as needed.
· Adjusts temperature and pressure controls for proper operation.
· Perform specialized testing of products. Technical school training preferred. Good mechanical skills and understanding of basic forms of digital and analog circuitry.
· Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.
· Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner.
· Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes.
· Attends meetings, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors safety hazards and issues.
· All other assigned duties as required within the production organization.
· Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
