Job Description Department: Production - Spring Shop Non-Exempt Salary: Hourly Summary Description: Catch and paint springs for garage doors as they come from the oven cooling conveyer in a safe and efficient manner. Cone the springs with a large drill motor and coning holder. Palletize the finished springs. Essential Duties: Catch and paint the springs as they come off the oven cooling conveyer in a safe and efficient manner Cut springs with cutting torch to needed length Check the quality and length of the springs Cone the springs with a large drill motor and coning holder palletize the finished springs Band the completed finished springs to the pallet. Label the springs Close out the work orders via the computer as required. Produce the springs at or above the set labor standards. Maintain a clean and safe working area Essential Job Skills and Experience Education/experience: Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. This advanced-level role performs complex structural and mechanical assembly operations using hand tools, presses, and precision measuring equipment. The ideal candidate will follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to produce high-quality components while contributing to a safe, clean, and collaborative manufacturing environment. Job Summary: The position will efficiently follow labeling and packaging requirements established by the customer by setting up, completing change overs, running and following proper shut down procedures of the flexible packaging machine.
