Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of complex products and components according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings
Read and interpret technical documents, including assembly instructions, schematics, and blueprints
Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble, adjust, and test products
Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet required standards
Troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues, identifying and reporting any defects or inconsistencies
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve assembly processes and product quality
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality
Train and mentor junior assembly technicians as needed
Required Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly
Proficiency in mechanical assembly techniques, including fitting, aligning, and fastening components
Strong electrical assembly skills, including soldering, wire harnessing, and PCB assembly
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various tools and equipment
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including assembly drawings and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field
Experience with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and handling sensitive components
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology
Knowledge of quality control systems and procedures
Experience with automated assembly equipment
Certification in specific assembly techniques or equipment operation
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
Visual acuity to inspect small components and read detailed instructions
