Position Summary
Assembles finished concrete floats and necessary hardware together in accordance with blueprint specifications. Prepares assembled floats to be shipped to final destination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Operates forklift to transport floats to assembly area. Places and aligns floats into correct order and position, following blueprint specifications.
* Obtains and prepares necessary materials and hardware, including bolts, washers, rods, lumber, and necessary hand tools.
* Positions and fastens all required hardware and material onto floats using wrenches, rubber mallets, and other appropriate hand tools.
* Checks and inspects floats to ensure that there are no major cracks or flaws. Ensures that floats and hardware materials are assembled appropriately.
* May patch and fill holes and gouges using hand tools such as trowels and scrapers.
* Learns and applies safety rules and techniques.

The Utility Worker primarily works in the outside production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. The employee is responsible for the processing of cylinders (20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders).

JOB PURPOSE

STRUCTURE
The Level 1 Assembly Associate reports directly to the Line Lead and Production Supervisor and works closely with the Quality Control team. They may receive guidance and training from more experienced associates or supervisors to build foundational skills.
RESPONSIBILITY
Know and follow all basic safety rules at all times.
Learn simple assembly processes and follow standardized instructions.
Perform assembly tasks with minimal supervision.
Meet quality standards at a basic level while continuing to develop in the role.
Properly handle and use basic tools required for assembly.
Identify and report simple defects during the assembly process.
Clean work areas using basic tools to remove residue.
Mark positions with pencil where parts are to be placed.
