The primary function of this role is to provide support to the Sprinkler Layout Technicians for both Harrisburg & Reading locations. This position reports to the Vice President Eastern Pennsylvania and will require a close working relationship with the Sprinkler Design staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Attend or conference into sprinkler design meetings as needed.
Coordinate with sub-contractors on sprinkler projects.
Follow through with all design items to be completed for each project.
Coordinate with sales, project managers and designers to obtain required information on projects.
Coordinate with blueprint room on permits and submittals.
Update and log pipe on job dates.
Make sure all head count sheets are completed for each project.
Travel to job sites to perform on site design surveys / field checks utilizing all necessary equipment, including ladders and man lifts.
Oversee and supervise Sprinkler Design Department employees, assisting in hiring and training of staff members as needed.
Provide technical design guidance to owners, architects, general contractors and Comunale staff members as needed.
Help resolve any design issues that occur on projects being completed throughout the country.
Ensure sales personnel, project managers, and all design staff members are in accordance with and up to date on latest code requirements, including all NFPA guidelines.
Assist sales department with technical questions and/or criteria pertaining to projects being bid.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the activities and performance of the Sprinkler Design staff.
QUALIFICATIONS

Student employees will support the Theater & Dance department's productions, specifically in the areas of technical production, as required by a specific production's needs. This position will be specialized toward the technology components of the theatrical process (lighting, sound, video, etc.), but will also have crossover with the scenic and carpentry responsibilities as needed. This position will also support the technology needs for campus events taking place in the Kaleidoscope (lectures, dinners, ceremonies, etc.)
Work is done in the Kaleidoscope's scene shop, Lenfest Theater, and Blackbox Studio Theater, under the direct supervision of the Theater & Dance department's Technical Director & Production Manager and Performing Arts Technician. Schedule may vary weekly. Some evening and weekend hours will likely be required during a production's load in period and tech weekend, and during campus events taking place in the building.
Typical work week may average between 12 and 20 hours.
Responsibilities:
Learn and practice a variety of skills (depending on the needs of the production) primarily including hanging and focusing lights, setting up microphones and speakers, and (as needed for the production), scenic carpentry, metalworking, scenic painting, and theatrical rigging.
Support the technology needs for campus events taking place in the Kaleidoscope (lectures, dinners, ceremonies, etc.)
Train on the theaters fly-system and operation along with other specified theatrical equipment.
Help with the set-up of both theater spaces for rehearsal and technical rehearsals.

Primary Responsibilities
Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.

Perform production processes as directed.
Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
Communicate with crew chief and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.

What the ILP Technician Does Each Day:
Assists preparation of inspection and packaging room materials supplies
Conducts labeling and the processing of production materials as required
Daily/ Bi-Weekly/Monthly cleaning of room and equipment and fills out appropriate preventative maintenance forms and checklists in accordance with SOP's
Conduct and complete line and room clearances as per established procedures
Completes necessary documents for accountability and traceability of products following Good Documentation Practices (GDPs); comply with cGMPs, and company ISO standards
Complies with 503B guidelines; cGMPs, standard operating procedures and company policies
Performs equipment calibration checks and troubleshoots production equipment as needed
Completes documentation of activities in accordance with established procedures
Immediately notifies production management of deviations to established processes or procedures
Assists other areas as needed (cleaning; non-sterile filling; kitting and preparation operations, etc.)
Primary, secondary, and tertiary labeling of products
Secondary and final packaging of product
Requires visual inspection of product
Maintains inspection ready environment and supports internal / external audits
