Requirements and Qualifications
* Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field with a concentration in ABA.
* Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential at time of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D).
* Experience teaching online ABA courses at the graduate or undergraduate level, preferably with a focus on Autism.
* Minimum of three years post-certification experience in the field of ABA.

Contribute to the guidance of students' scholarly projects within courses and to the development of curriculum and course activities. Participate in the growth and development of the nurse anesthesia program's goal(s) and objectives as an active faculty member. Conduct scholarship and research activities at local, state, national, and international levels. Plan, organize, teach, and provide feedback to promote and direct student success. Respond to students promptly. Communicate with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources. Essential Functions
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to:
Utilizing face-to-face, online, and blended teaching modalities to facilitate student learning in graduate coursework as assigned by the department chair.
Create educationally appropriate assessment questions for anesthesiology topics. Serve in leadership and membership capacities on college and campus committees. Evaluate student progress in learning appropriate medical and scientific knowledge. Communicate these evaluations to the student and administrative/faculty members as appropriate. Other duties as assigned by the program administrator.
Basic knowledge of technology-mediated platforms for blended learning and computer software.
Engaging in university, community service, and collaborating with other university departments to recruit students into the College of Health Professions and Medical Sciences.
Qualifications/Requirements
Earned PhD, MD, or other Doctorate Degree in Nursing or related field, certification to practice as a CRNA or physician, and a current APRN/RN or MD license.
A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience is required.
Proven experience in teaching clinical practice and a teaching portfolio in graduate nursing anesthesia education.
Experience in active learning is preferred.
Experience in a collaborative approach to education is preferred. Open to non-traditional research.

The Secondary Firearms Instructor (SFI) supports the Lead Firearms Instructor (LFI) during the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Requalification Training sessions. The SFI assists the LFI as directed in the preparation; completion; and post session clean-up requirements of all FFDO Semi-annual Firearms Requalification sessions.
Ensures student safety during dry-fire and live-fire training venues.
The SFI provides one-on-one instruction to students during the pre-qualification (warm-up) course of fire; and any remedial training as designated by the LFI.
The SFI must possess the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate law enforcement training concepts and issues to a diverse audience; and must possess the demonstrated ability to instruct in accordance with the principles of basic adult education; as well as platform and practical area instruction for law enforcement.
The SFI must have the ability to interpret; apply; and adhere to established program policies; standard operating procedures (SOPs); and lesson plans.
The SFI keeps all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Sensitive Personally Identifying Information (SPII) secured appropriately both during and after a re-qualification session in compliance with the TSA MD 2100.2; Privacy and Information Collection Policy and TSA MD 1400.3 TSA Information Security Policy.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Experience: SFIs must have a minimum of 5 years of formal experience as an instructor in ALL of the following law enforcement disciplines: firearms; defensive tactics/measures; and use of force.
The SFI must be a current or former certified law enforcement official or civilian employee having completed a military; state; county or municipally certified firearms training program.
Associates Degree; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work/military experience.
The SFI must also comply with all Federal; state; and/or local requirements.
This position requires applicants to successfully complete the security application and pass a background investigation clearance prior to starting.*
Working Conditions The work is typically performed at an indoor or outdoor gun range. Employees will be required to handle weapons and ammunition in the course of their duties. Exposure to high volumes of noise due to the firing of weapons will occur and employees are required to wear hearing protection in the form of foam ear plugs as well as external hearing protection. Exposure to expelled gun-powder as a result of fired ammunition is expected; and the employees must wash hands after handling ammunition. Lead Firearms Instructors (LFIs) are the first point of contact for Federal Flight Deck Officers when they arrive at the training venue; are responsible for checking them in; verifying weapons and credentials; conducting training and overseeing the course of fire at the gun-range. They are responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel on the range and securing SSI and SPII information during and after requalification sessions.
HOW A LEAD FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Lead Firearms Instructors (LFIs) are the first point of contact at the training venue for Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDO) and is the on-site training manager for the program. LFIs conduct all classroom instruction; delivering the approved TSA training and safety brief; introducing and describing new equipment; and ensuring all students understand and sign the safety briefing. The LFI ensures a minimum number of SFIs are present to maintain an instructor/student ratio of 1:6 for each training session. The LFI must ensure a sufficient inventory of training supplies is on-hand at the training venue to support monthly requalification sessions. The LFI is expected to maintain positive control of the training environment from the moment students arrive at the venue to the moment they depart. Upon students? arrival; the LFIs must verify weapons and credentials of each FFDO before training commences by visual inspection. The LFI is responsible for ensuring proper scoring of targets; completion of applicable administrative forms; and collection of training data. The LFI is required sign and certify qualification scores for all FFDOs attempting to qualify. Failure of an FFDO to qualify also means that an authorized FAMS Representative and/or LFI takes custody of the unloaded weapon; transport device (lockbox); credential and other equipment for return to TSA/FAMS. If no authorized FAMS representative is present to receive the equipment; the LFI shall make immediate verbal notification to the FFDO Program Office in order to make the appropriate arrangements to return equipment and credentials. The LFI must keep all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Sensitive Personally Identifying Information (SPII) secured appropriately both during and after a re-qualification session in compliance with the TSA MD 2100.2; Privacy and Information Collection Policy and TSA MD 1400.3 TSA Information Security Policy. The LFI is oversees time keeping of all SFI labor hours. The LFI must comply with internal compliance training events
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
EDUCATION / EQUIVALENT TRAINING: Current or former federal law enforcement agent; officer; or civilian employee having completed a recognized federal firearm instructor training program deemed acceptable by the TSA/FAMS. Examples of a recognized federal firearms instructor programs include; but are not limited to; certified instructor graduates of FLETC Firearms Instructor Training program (FITP); FAMS Firearms Instructor Training Program; FBI/DEA Firearms Instructor Training Program; United States Postal Inspectors Firearms Instructor Training Program or equivalent federal training program. All LFIs must successfully complete a 2-3 days firearms re-qualification training program under the technical direction of the SAC; FAMS Training Division; and the FFDO Program Office. Areas of instruction shall include; but not to be limited to; the re-qualification course(s) of fire; procedural requirements for conducting the re-qualification session; and use of a GFE Automatic External Defibrillator (AED); and basic first aid.

Safety:

Communication:
Communicate class progression with the program coordinator and work alongside state fire department officials during testing.
Compliance: Comply with all local, state, and federal laws required for fire training centers.
Equipment
Maintain tools and equipment used in training and may perform routine maintenance on equipment and apparatus.
Set up and staged firefighting equipment for student skills stations and firefighting evolutions.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain required training documentation.
Maintains Fire Services instructor certification, by instructor course identified local and state approved academy classes.
Fire Services instructors must meet the minimum requirements as outlines in the Florida State Fire College, Bureaus of Fire Standard and Training guidelines for Live Fire Training Instructor I or II.
Qualifications/Requirements
An AS degree (allied health, business, or related fields) is required.
Fire Instructor 1 certification is required.
A minimum of six years of proven experience.
Basic experience with MS Office and Canvas is required.

Clinical Professor - Public Relations The Communication Studies Department at Loyola Marymount University (LMU), Los Angeles, CA seeks applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Public Relations. This is a full time, non-tenure track position beginning in Fall 2026.
The department would prefer to hire candidates with a Ph.D.; however, applicants must have at least a Master's degree in Public Relations, or Communication Studies with expertise in Public Relations or a closely related field in hand at the time a contract is offered. Final appointment is dependent on a confirmed degree status. Applicants who have not yet completed their degree must demonstrate progress verifiable by evidence and substantive enough to ensure completion of their degree at the time of appointment.
Candidates should demonstrate an ability to enrich existing courses and develop new courses through innovative pedagogical approaches such as applied, experiential, community-based, or other inventive, critical, and anti-racist pedagogies.
Candidates must be trained and able to teach courses in Public Relations to support our Public Relations minor and will be expected to propose new upper division courses to expand our offerings in this area. An ability to also teach introductory courses in our Communication Studies curriculum is preferred. Application materials should clearly demonstrate the ability to teach anticipated courses in our curriculum. The teaching load for this position is 2/2 on a semester schedule.
Hired candidate will be required to advise students in the Public Relations Minor and to advise the LMU chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Consequently, evidenced experience advising students is preferred (e.g. course selection, developing time to degree (or graduation) plans, and providing students with academic and career mentoring. Candidates with professional experience and skills comparable to academic advising (e.g., training and development) should articulate those experiences in their application materials in relation to their qualifications in Public Relations.
