As a Field Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
* Your starting pay will be $13.50-$14.50 depending on your skills and experience.

* This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
* Average weekly hours for this position are between 12-14 hours per week.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The retail merchandiser position consists of three major components:
* Day-to-day engagement: Utilizing a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you'll restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. The use of technology is critical in this role, for the day-to-day work as well as communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is also vital for success in this role. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
* Holiday support: Hallmark's operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. On occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include the weekend.
* Department Resets: At times, you may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, as well as resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. This could include evenings or weekend.
* One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark's field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers professionals that often times will support other team members as needed in their territories.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday, and you may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

National Interstate and Vanliner's Graduate Development Program, Ignition
Ignition, National Interstate's Graduate Development Program, is a month-long cohort that equips recent graduates with a comprehensive understanding of our business through a blend of instructor-led, self-paced, and hands-on training. Participants gain a strong understanding of our business model, value proposition, and how individual roles impact the organization while becoming immersed in our company culture. Through expert-led sessions, this program explores cross-functional areas, develops key professional skills, and strengthens relationships through team-building and social activities.
The program is taking place in June 2026. The role will be expected to work in the Richfield, Ohio office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Develops skill and knowledge in conducting market research and networking to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Learns to create and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
Participates in engaging with existing and prospective new customers to build relationships to achieve the division's targeted profit goals.
Assists in creating compelling marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Learns to monitor and analyze the performance of marketing activities and campaigns, including tracking statistics on prospect lists, hit ratios, business retention and new business production.
May assist in supporting underwriting in fact gathering, underwriting, and pricing of renewals.
May assist in preparing reports to analyze and develop existing business profile/mix and the quality and quantity of new business.
Develops skills to promote additional coverage/programs to existing accounts and achieve premium development and retention/persistency goals.
May assist with coordinating/transferring books of business and ongoing contract management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Scope of Job/Qualifications: Typically participates in a formal training program for 6 months to a year. Performs work under close supervision and technical direction. Developing understanding of marketing principles and practices. Works on assignments of low technical complexity. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Gaining proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools. Demonstrates foundational analytical skills and attention to detail. Position may require day and overnight travel (10-20%) to visit agents, brokers, or clients. Position may learn to prospect and solicit new agents or clients; typically, has no or limited underwriting authority. Uses communication skills to build excellent customer relationships and to provide opportunities for marketing products and services.

National Interstate is looking for a Product Filing Trainee to join their team. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of the Richfield, Ohio office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Learns to prepare and submit product filings, including rates, rules, and forms, to state insurance departments.
Learns to monitor and track the status of filings, ensuring timely responses to regulatory inquiries.
Participates in collaborating with product development, actuarial, and legal teams to gather necessary information for filings.
Learns to review and interpret state insurance regulations to ensure compliance.
Assists with maintaining detailed records of all filings and correspondence with regulators.
Assists with providing updates and reports to management on filing activities and outcomes.
May assist with implementing process improvements to enhance filing efficiency and accuracy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Insurance Risk Management, Business Administration or a related field.Experience: No prior work experience is required.Scope of Job/Qualifications: Works on assignments of low technical complexity and coordination.
