Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Float Pool Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Float pool position covering ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses • Include inpatients holding in ED when needed • Every other weekend requirement • Night shift preference with block scheduling accommodation when possible • First to float designation - will be notified 2 hours prior to shift start via text message • Distance between campuses is approximately 20-25 minutes • Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6 • Must have at least 1 year ICU experience • Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin • Must be able to interpret telemetry strips • Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-procedural cardiac patients, post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op day 3-4 • Work with RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow • Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Charting system: Cerner • Dress code: Solid color professional scrubs (transitioning to Navy scrubs in October) • 8-hour general hospital orientation plus 12-hour shifts at West MedTele and PCU • Standby requirement possible during shifts with excessive staff • Holiday requirements included in permanent staff rotation • Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks) Facility: This regional medical center operates across two campuses providing comprehensive acute care services.
