The Server position is responsible for accurately and efficiently serving meals to the residents, guests, and staff of Ridgecrest Village. Servers are responsible for cleaning tasks as assigned and keeping the kitchen/dining areas clean and sanitary.
General Responsibilities:
Serves meals in various dining rooms and carries trays.
Receives and prepares meal orders.
Delivers and pours beverages.
Replenishes buffet line with appropriate food from kitchen.
Assists in preparing meal trays.
Tallies diet cards to ensure the appropriate dietary meals are assembled for health center patients.
Places cold items on meal trays and at tables.
Prepares simple foods, for example as required, i.e coffee, utilizing air fryer, griddle, crockpot, toaster, blender and use of knives for cutting food.
Clears and resets dining tables after use.
Assembles all supplies needed to set tables, silverware and condiments.
Assists in routine dietary cleaning tasks and special cleaning at supervisor's request.
Cleans refrigerators, walk-in coolers, and storage areas and disposes of any unusable supplies.
Cleans salad bar area.
Cleans all work areas used during shift.
Completes weekly cleaning as assigned.
Assists dishwasher in washing dishes and/or pots and pans.
Delivers special dietary trays to health center or retirement apartment at supervisor's request.
Carries supplies from storage areas to kitchen work area at cook's or supervisor's request.
Attends and participates in required in-service meetings.
Performs other duties as directed by Food Service Manager and Supervisor.
Demonstrates competency in skills mandated by required education and training.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Able to see distance of 35 feet to observe residents needing assistance.
Able to continuously hear normal sounds and voice patterns with some background noise.
Able to detect the smell of spoiled food.
