What You Will Contribute:
The SolutionArchitect is primarily responsible for the pre-sales support of the Badger Meter field sales and distribution efforts across the complete Badger Meter Water Quality product line by providing necessary technical training and assistance, Bid / RFP response information, system pre-installation planning with the customer, participating in technical seminars, representing Badger Meter at assigned trade shows, lunch and learns, and industry shows and by conducting special sales support projects and activities as required.
This position requires detailed technical knowledge and understanding (or the ability to obtain) of Badger Meter's full product line. This position will be required to provide post-sales field support as needed.
The ideal candidate for this position will be based in Florida/Georgia. This position will require up to 50% travel. This position will cover the Southeast market.
Job Duties:
Provide pre-sales assistance for the Water Quality Sales Team, including pre-sales technical assistance such as solution/system design.
Remain proficient and up to date in instruments and system technology including software, both with Badger Meter products and with competitive product offerings.
Assist with presentations to key prospects, target accounts, and customers.
Influence and respond to customer and prospect inquiries, RFP / Bid requests and questions in a timely manner as required.
Act as a mentor to peers and other inside sales representatives to help the broader team have a deeper understanding of products, internal processes and area's for improved efficiencies. May be provided the opportunity to be a subject matter expert on a product family and support the entire sales region.
Stay abreast of and communicate to sales and marketing competitor changes, new strategies, pricing, introduction of new products, or changes in existing products.
Conduct all activity in such a manner as to comply with all governmental requirements applicable to the sale of Badger Meter's products.
Assist in training of new internal and external sales representatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or a related field required.
5+ years of previous experience in water/wastewater industry desired; Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

Required:

We have an open position for a Salesforce Technical Architect who will be responsible for designing and implementing complex Salesforce solutions, as well as providing technical leadership and guidance to other members of the team.
To be successful in the role you:
* Lead customers on their process, business and technical challenges ensuring balanced, scalable, and standard methodology solutions that meet and exceed customer needs while building sustainable relationships with them and team members
* Act as lead architect on engagements by coordinating and aligning work of multiple architects and consultants on the team
* Align with project and engagement managers, partners and other (internal) partners to support planning and implementation in close collaboration with the customer
* Understand and present high-level overviews of the Salesforce functionality and features
* Perform hands-on application configuration and customisation to meet customer needs
* Manage, lead and govern technical development on the platform and in project/programme delivery
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solutionarchitecture, technical design, and test plans
* Provide support for production issues, including root cause analysis and resolution

Minimum requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of implementing Salesforce solutions
* Extensive experience in the assessment of business objectives, formulating solution options, and driving partner support as well as with software implementation lifecycle with ability to support project planning
* Understand customer's processes and connect business requirements with the functional and technical capabilities of the application
* Have 5+ years of experience working on deployment teams, ideally using the Agile development technique
* You will have direct and hands-on experience in working with Salesforce products
* Excellent communication skills across a variety of audiences and situations
* Ability to coach and influence internal and customer partners and project members as well as to quickly learn & adapt to new situations
* Available to travel regionally and occasionally internationally depending on customer needs
* Salesforce Certifications/Qualifications (relevant and current)
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience in Salesforce consulting, development and architecture
* Salesforce certification(s), such as Certified SolutionArchitect (B2B or B2C) or wide range of Salesforce cloud certifications
* Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, preferably including custom development, integrations, and data migration
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Experience working in an Agile development environment
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
