Summary:
The Travel Cath Lab RN provides specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional treatments. The RN prepares patients for procedures, assists during interventions, and monitors immediate post-procedure recovery. Working closely with cardiologists and cath lab teams, this role requires advanced cardiac care skills, cardiac catheterization skills, strong communication, and the ability to adapt quickly while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.
Essential Work Functions:
Conduct assessment of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams
Assist in positioning patients correctly for the procedure and ensure EKG electrodes and cardiac leads are properly placed
Assist physicians during procedures, including the placement of catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, and other cardiac interventions
Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic waveforms
Assist in arterial and/or venous sheath removal using closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression, and transport patients to the appropriate recovery area
Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedure
Support post-procedure care, including monitoring patient recovery and ensuring a smooth transition to the next phase of care
Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, ensuring everything is functioning properly and fully stocked for procedures
Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians to provide seamless care
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Locality pay varies by duty location.Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. * Communicates to sales team &/or referral source(s), if referral is acceptable or what is missing to complete referral(s)
* Documents in computer system the status of referral
* Reports all concerns or issues directly to Intake Manager or Intake Supervisor
* Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* One (1) to two (2) years working for a Durable Medical Equipment company or relevant medical office experience preferred.
* Basic understandings of medical insurance benefits
* Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients, organizations, and the public.
* Effectively communicate with physicians, patients, insurers, colleagues, and staff
* Able to read and understand medical documentation effectively.
* Knowledge and understanding of same and similar DME equipment.
* Knowledge and understanding of In-network vs Out of Network, PPO, HMO
* Thorough understanding and maintaining of medical insurances company's regulations and requirements to include but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.
* Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS & ICD10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits.
* Learns and maintains knowledge of current patient database & billing system.
* Up to date with health information technologies and applications
* Answers telephone in a polite and professional manner. Communicates information to appropriate personnel and management in a timely manner.
* Establishes and maintains effective communication and good working relationships with co-workers, patients, organizations, and the public.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Utilizes initiative, strives to maintain steady level of productivity and is self-motivated.

Cuts meat according to product specifications and time standards.
Complete use and following of the buffet production system to insure quality and shelf life compliance.
Rotates cut and boxed meat to ensure freshness.
Stocks and arranges the Meat Cooler in accordance with approved food safety guidelines.
Cleanliness:
To eliminate cross-contamination, sanitizes all surfaces between production of chicken and any other meat.
Recognizes that meat is bad when it is sticky, slick or smells bad.
Cleans and sanitizes the meat room according to cleanliness, service, and quality standards.
Follows local health department laws.
Operational Excellence:
