Primary Purpose: Performs highly complex computer programming work, including the ability to read and understand simple and more complex database objects. Work involves analyzing system outlines to develop programs for computer applications; preparing and developing solution programs; documenting methods and procedures used in program development; and testing, correcting, and revising programs. Works under general supervision. Qualifications: Education/Certification/Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with significant coursework in computer science (or related degree). Each year of full-time, wage-earning application development experience in browser based or computer desktop environment may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year for year basis. This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely. Analyze proposed automated data processes in terms of resources and cost justification. 3. Document existing and proposed computer applications. 4. Develop automated systems. 5. Code, prepare test data, test, debug programs and maintain complex applications. 6. Monitor and assist in the evaluation, maintenance and application development. 7. Document procedures used in the development and revision of computer programs. 8. Analyze, review, and revise programs to increase operating efficiency. 9. Monitor computer system performance to achieve maximum utilization of system software and hardware. 10. Research and review trade journals and information sources for current developments in computer software and equipment. 11.
