Chris Roach currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of BBG. His broad knowledge in the appraisal of multi-family, office, retail and industrial property types provide a solid foundation in understanding commercial real estate. With his diverse client base background, Roach is an essential asset to BBG. Roach began with Butler Burgher, Inc. in 2002 as a senior associate. His next role was serving as a Vice President and National Client Manager for LandAmerica Valuation Corporation. He currently holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute along with the ASA and CCIM. Today BBG has over 35 offices, nearly 400 employees and ranks in the top five national real estate valuation firms.

He is a general certified appraiser in multiple states and is actively involved in The Real Estate Council (TREC). Chris was elected into the Associate Leadership Council, class of 2010-11. Roach is also an active member of the North Texas Chapter of The Appraisal Institute where he served as President on the Executive Board of Director in 2018. Additionally, he is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC) and Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). Roach has also been designated as an expert witness in numerous states and has testified in multiple courts regarding real estate valuation matters. Chris is a graduate of Texas Tech University and currently serves on the Rawls College of Business Advisory Council for a three year term.

Bill Britain has been involved in the commercial services industry for more than 25 years. During which time, he served in numerous operational and financial leadership roles. After gaining experience in Internal Audit, Mergers and Acquisitions and Logistics Management for several large organizations, Bill turned his attention to a venture-backed firm named Premier Appraisals, where he was hired as the lead financial executive.

Premier Appraisals embarked on a consolidation of appraisal firms throughout the United States and was subsequently renamed Primis, Inc. based in Atlanta Georgia. Primis Inc., was eventually acquired by LandAmerica Financial Group. At that time, Bill was tasked with starting LandAmerica’s commercial appraisal platform. The effort to grow the LandAmerica Valuation Corporation platform led to the acquisition of BBG and several other regional appraisal firms.

During the 2008 financial crisis, LandAmerica Financial Group declared bankruptcy, and Bill led the management acquisition of LandAmerica Valuation Corporation. This entity was subsequently reformed into BBG. Bill has served in a variety of positions including CFO, COO, Board Advisor and Consultant to BBG since that time.

Bill graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree, and he earned an MBA from Louisiana State University. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant designation in the State of Georgia.

Chris currently serves as the CFO of BBG. Chris has over 15 years of experience in finance and operations within the professional services industry. Prior to his current position, Chris served as Vice President , Finance and Corporate Controller at Ryan, LLC where he lead a team of managers responsible for global financial reporting and analysis, tax and compliance, treasury, travel, and the traditional core accounting functions with teams in the US and India. Ryan is a $400M global tax services firm.

Before joining Ryan, LLC, Chris worked at Haynes and Boone, LLP for 10 years as Controller and Financial Consultant where he lead a multi-national team responsible for consolidating the worldwide financial statements, tax and regulatory compliance, payroll, firm travel, and the traditional core accounting functions with teams in the US and Mexico. Haynes and Boone, LLP is a $300M full-service international law firm.

In the course of his 30+ year career in financial services, Frank Deutschmann has served as Head of Product and CTO for multiple companies. As Head of Product at dv01, a FinTech information and analytics firm focused on consumer credit, Frank launched a new securitization-focused product suite and led the development of an innovative loan performance analytical platform. As CTO for Simpl - the largest pay-later consumer payment service provider in India - Frank was responsible for overseeing all technology and product development as the company greatly expanded their merchant and consumer user bases and lending volume.

In the run up to and through the 2008 Financial Crisis, Frank was Head of Front Office Technology and Head of Analytics for two structured finance hedge funds focused on CDOs, with extensive involvement in regulatory analytics in the aftermath of the Crisis. Frank’s consulting firm Novolytix has provided technology and product consulting services to hedge funds and fintech startups in the areas of large-scale, high-performance analytical computing, structured finance risk management, credit & valuation analytics, and energy production investment analytics.

Earlier in his career, Frank headed the Software Engineering Group at Blackrock, managing the transition to 64-bit computing, the introduction of large scale computer grids, and web technology. Frank transitioned to the role of Chief Technology Officer of Trepp LLC upon their acquisition by Blackrock. At Trepp, Frank was responsible for modernizing a 20-year-old analytics and data platform focused on CMBS and integrating the system into the Bloomberg platform, and ultimately introducing a web version of the CMBS analytical suite as one of the first financial industry SaaS offerings.

Frank Deutschmann joined BBG from T-REX where he was Product Manager for their Warehouse Lending analytical product. In this role, Frank led the buildout of T-REX’s suite of Analytics and Reporting for loan warehouse credit line lenders and borrowers (loan originators).
