About the Venue
The Mortgage Matchup Center is in the heart of downtown Phoenix, home to the Phoenix Suns and Mercury professional basketball teams and a variety of special events and concerts tear round-making it the preeminent destination for sports and entertainment in the southwest.
Responsibilities
* Carve and portion premium roast meats (turkey, brisket, roast beef) to order-only at the Carvery action station.
* Prepare, plate, garnish, and serve guests efficiently and courteously.
* Maintain a sanitized and wellโorganized workspace throughout the shift.
* Ensure strict food safety procedures: safe temperatures, cross-contamination control, proper storage.
* Be punctual-arrive fully prepared and in uniform, ready to go before service begins
* Communicate with kitchen staff, chefs, and managers for prep, menu adjustments, and timing coordination.
* Any and all other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
* Prior experience cooking or carving in a fastโpaced, event-driven setting.
* Reliable and on time attendance record.
* Certified in or knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
* Must be able to operate typical kitchen equipment and sharpen carving tools.
* Positive, teamโoriented mindset able to multitask under pressure.
* Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
* Ability to speak, read and write in English.
