Summary
A Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for maintenance and service of USA Compression equipment reporting to the Area Service Manager (ASM). Skills/Capabilities and Education
* Technical or trade school certification or additional work experience in related field.
* Prefer at least 2 years of experience in gas compression with preference to CAT, Ariel and/or Cummins certifications and experience. Depending on the equipment assigned, this role may maintain large or small horsepower units, gas lift or traditional compression units along with other related equipment associated with our business.
* Valid driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Record history acceptable to USA Compression.
* Solid professional communication/interface skills with customer field personnel, onsite vendors, and other employees. This role is often the USAC position with the most customer interaction. Excellent customer service and positive communication skills are critical to the success in the FST role.
* Ability to be self-managed and work independently with little or no supervision.
* High degree of mechanical ability.

The Field Service Technician holds the key responsibility for the safe and operationally effective installation and servicing of two main systems: on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk medical or industrial gas systems. This work must strictly adhere to all federal, state/provincial, and local codes, as well as Airgas policies.
* Equipment Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Install, place in operation, maintain, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair company equipment at customer sites. Prioritize integrated service activities to maximize on-site time, ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of products to the customer's point of use.
* Customer and Service Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact and coordination between the company and the customer to ensure all requirements are met safely, efficiently, and economically. Coordinate installation and removal activities with external service providers, Customer Service Engineering, Sales, and Distribution.
* Specific Equipment Focus: Perform all functions for Air Liquide America's applicable equipment, including, but not limited to:
* Liquid and gas storage systems (oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, helium, and carbon dioxide).
* Customer distribution and regulation systems.

* Telemonitoring equipment and instrumentation.

Required Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Minimum of two (2) years of diagnostic and repair experience in one or more of the following areas: Cryogenics, high-pressure piping, brazing, electrical circuits (including 3-phase power), refrigeration (EPA certified in refrigerant recovery), PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and process instrumentation.
* Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

Summary
A Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for maintenance and service of USA Compression equipment reporting to the Area Service Manager (ASM). Inspect Lever/Hand Chain hoists, fall protection, and rigging to ensure safety and compliance with Mfg, OSHA and ANSI standards. Stay current on applicable standards.
Inspect, troubleshoot, estimate, repair, and proof load test.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding repairs.
Service existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily schedule; coordinating work orders by priority.
Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist, manual and digital.
Builds and maintain customer confidence by maintaining a good response time, informing sales of problems, and completing the job in a timely manner.
Maintain all company equipment and tools in compliance with the manufacture's recommendations and certifications, i.e. vehicle, forklifts, man lifts, operating machinery, etc.
Responsible for keeping a proper stock level of inventory of stock items.
Create and formalize information for proposals of all replacement and repair opportunities and forward to the Service Branch Manager for next steps.
Keep training credentials up to date. Sponsored by the company.

Job Requirements:
Must possess the ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 460 vac 3 phase electrical motors and controls circuitry.
Must be comfortable working at certain heights.
Must own electricians hand tools, quality electrical test meter, and steel toed boots.

Intermediate Field Tech - Conhagen
The Intermediate Field Tech supports Conhagen's Field Services Department by assembling, installing, inspecting, and repairing rotating equipment at customer sites. Key Responsibilities
Install, assemble, dismantle, and inspect rotating equipment using verbal and written instructions.

Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and technical documents.
Use precision measuring tools (indicators, verniers, calipers, micrometers) to measure to .0001 accuracy.
Conduct photo and visual inspections; correctly label and handle components for reassembly.
Perform basic non-destructive testing (as applicable).
Clean, organize, and properly store parts at customer locations.
Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists (location-dependent).
