Job Title: Category Manager
Location: Hybrid preferred - Madison, WI (3 days onsite ideal). Candidates in Milwaukee, Chicago, Iowa, or Minnesota preferred. Remote considered if necessary. Duration: 6 months, with possible extensions.
About the Role
The Category Manager will lead the development and execution of category strategies for high-spend and complex IT categories. This role focuses on IT-related sourcing and vendor management, including professional services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, hardware, and telecom. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can influence category direction, collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, and navigate a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category management strategies for assigned IT categories.
Collaborate with IT stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with enterprise service delivery models.
Manage vendor selection, performance, and contract negotiations for IT professional services.
Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Establish and track category targets, driving cost savings and risk mitigation.
Apply strategic sourcing methodologies and manage RFx processes.
Identify and implement value-generating opportunities (e.g., savings, efficiencies).
Foster strong supplier relationships and communicate expectations internally.
Adapt category strategies to changing business needs and resolve supplier issues.
Support organizational rollout of category management practices.
Lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Present regularly to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field.
7+ years of experience in IT category management, supply chain, or related disciplines.
Proven experience managing IT categories (professional services, managed services, technology consulting).
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Experience in sourcing transformation and change management.
Ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
Background working with large-scale partners and global process outsourcing.
Additional Details
Ability to travel up to 15% (may include overnight/weekend).
Regular and reliable attendance required.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and operate with autonomy.

The retention specialist will work under the supervision of the project directors and project manager. The position will provide intake assessment, deliver the psychoeducation program, and provide follow up services to participants in the project. Work Location Requirement

Position Details:
Schedule: General operational hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the option to work until 6pm Monday or Tuesday. * 40% of their time serving as the 4-H Shooting Sports State Coordinator providing leadership for state level 4-H shooting sports programming, the statewide 4-H Shooting Sports Committee and other evolving state level programming to increase engagement, experiential learning and project-based skill development, and leadership opportunities for all Wisconsin 4-H members and participants;
* 20% of their time focused on supporting county-based Extension educators through building staff and volunteer capacity for high quality outdoor education, ATV safety and shooting sports programs, and residential youth camping programs;
* 25% of their time coordinating the Wisconsin 4-H ATV safety program in partnership with Upham Woods staff, including direct teaching, volunteer recruitment and training, and oversight for overall program implementation;
* 15% of their time working with faculty and staff, including the Upham Woods staff, to foster and develop relationships in service to building youth-focused outdoor education outreach programming, including not-yet-served youth and families.

Statewide Location

Regular travel to Madison and throughout the state to participate in state team meetings and collaborate with others on campus and in county Extension offices is expected. Occasional night and weekend programming responsibilities are expected.
Partial Remote
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Remote work requires an approved remote work agreement (RWA). A RWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
Position Highlights
Works in partnership with Dr. Bridget Ellsworth among other interdisciplinary health care team members to care for patients from birth to young adulthood in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic orthopaedic conditions.
Collaborates with the patient, their family and other health care team members to determine appropriate surgical and non-surgical interventions in a blended environment consisting of outpatient, inpatient and operative settings as a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery team.
Participates in administrative or non-clinical activities as required by Children's WI, Children's Specialty Group (CSG) and the Medical College of WI (MCW).
Uses the electronic medical record (EMR) to write accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders.
Orders, performs, and interprets screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately documents and communicates results to patients and their families.
Privileged to perform procedures beyond core responsibilities as identified by the Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery team.
Facilitates and communicates with patients, their family and health care team to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care.
Attends required training and meets key regulatory requirements, including those of the privileging institution, CMS, and the Joint Commission.

Children's Wisconsin and Children's Specialty Group
Children's Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin, is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Children's Wisconsin provides primary care, urgent care, emergency care, specialty care, mental and behavioral health services, community health services, foster and adoption services, child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year, the Children's Wisconsin team has more than 6.5 million touchpoints with kids and families through medical care, advocacy, research and education. In Northeast Wisconsin, Children's Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric subspecialty care. This includes a pediatric hospital, with a Pediatric Unit, Level III NICU and Infusion Center, which is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI. Children's and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin - the Children's Specialty Group (CSG) - are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Children's Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. Open to recent graduates, however, candidates must have experience in surgical services, orthopedics and/or pediatrics during training and/or post-training positions.

Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Strong technology skills
